❐ Be very careful that you don't fall when vacuuming stairs.
❐ Only use and store the device out of the reach of children and animals. Improper use
may result in injury and electrical shock. The charger may also not be accessible for
children.
❐ Do not use the device if it is damaged.

Fire hazard

❐ Do not use the device if easily fl ammable gases are present in the air.
Proper use
❐ Only use and store the device in enclosed areas. Do not operate it outdoors, in rooms
with high humidity or on hot surfaces.
❐ Each time before you use the device, check it and the accessories for damages. If
the device, charger, cable, fi lter or insert are visibly damaged, the device must not be
used. Do not attempt to repair the device or to replace parts yourself. In the event of
damage, contact the customer service department.
❐ Do not use the device if it had a malfunction or has vacuumed up pointy objects (e.g.
glass splinters). Have a professional check the device.
❐ In the event of damages/malfunctions, immediately deactivate the device.
❐ Only use the device if it has been completely and correctly assembled! The dust bin,
fi lter, insert and gaskets must be in place and may not be damaged! Dirt that
penetrates the inside of the device could damage the motor.
❐ Do not subject the device to extreme temperatures, severe changes in temperatures,
open fl ames, direct sunlight and do not expose the main unit to moisture or wetness.
❐ Do not allow the device to fall and do not subject it to strong percussions.
❐ Never place heavy objects on the device.
❐ Do not immerse the main unit in water or other liquids in order to avoid the risk of
electrical shocks.
❐ Do not insert anything in the device's vents and ensure that they are not plugged.
❐ Empty and clean the dust bin after every use. The fi lters must also be cleaned regu-
larly to prevent the motor from being overloaded.
❐ Never leave the device running when unattended.
❐ Turn the device off
– if you stop working with it,
– if you are fi nished using the device,
– before you change or clean the accessories,
– if an error or fault occurs during operation,
– if foreign objects penetrate the device.
Handling the charger
❐ Do not attempt to use the charger for another device and do not charge the device
with another charger. Only use the charger included with this device.
