❐ Make sure that the connected mains cord does not pose a tripping hazard, is not
crushed or kinked and does not come into contact with hot surfaces.

Fire hazard

❐ Do not use the device if easily fl ammable gases are present in the air.
❐ Do not cover the device during operation to prevent a risk of fi re.

Proper use

❐ Only use and store the device in enclosed areas. Do not operate it outdoors, in rooms
with high humidity or on hot surfaces.
❐ Each time before you use the device, check it and the accessories for damages. If
the device, cord and/or plug exhibit visible damages, the device may not be used. Do
not attempt to repair the device or to replace parts yourself. In the event of damage,
contact the customer service department.
❐ Do not use the device if it malfunctions, has vacuumed up liquids or objects or has
fallen down. Have a professional check the device.
❐ Only use the device if it has been completely and correctly assembled! The dust bin
and the exhaust air fi lter must be properly inserted. Dirt that penetrates the inside of
the device could damage the motor.
❐ Do not use the device in water or other liquids in order to avoid the risk of electrical
shocks.
❐ Do not vacuum up liquids or easily fl ammable substances.
❐ Never touch the device, the cable or the plug with wet hands.
❐ Never expose the device to extreme temperatures, severe temperature fl uctuations,
open fl ames, direct sunlight, moisture or wetness.
❐ Do not allow the device to fall and do not subject it to strong percussions.
❐ Never place heavy objects on the device.
❐ Do not insert anything in the appliance's openings/nozzles and ensure that they are
not plugged.
❐ Never leave the device unattended while on or connected to the power supply.
❐ Immediately switch the device off and pull the mains plug out of the socket if you stop
working with the device for some time,
– if you are fi nished using the device,
– before you change the adapters,
– if an error or fault occurs during operation,
– if liquids or foreign debris have penetrated the device,
– before a storm,
– before you clean the device parts and accessories.
❐ The device must be switched off if you pull the plug or insert it in the socket.
❐ Always pull on the plug itself and never on the cable!
❐ Never move the device by pulling it by the cord. Use the handle.
❐ Do not attempt to grease the wheels with lubricants or oil. Otherwise, this may cause
more dust or dirt to accumulate on the wheels.
