3.3 Safety precautions (to be implemented by device owner)
Please note that the device owner is responsible for the proper instruction of all operating and
maintenance personnel as regards:
• the safety devices of the TOPITEC
• compliance with all safety instructions in this manual.
Compliance must be monitored. A copy of this operating manual must be filed safely for future
reference. All inspection and maintenance intervals must be strictly observed.
The various sections of this operating manual contain instructions for different groups of personnel:
• The chapters referring to operation and operating modes are written for instructed personnel.
The instructions in the chapters referring to troubleshooting and repair are aimed at qualified
electricians, as all tasks described in these chapters must only be performed by qualified electricians.
Instructed person (operator)
A person who has been instructed by a qualified electrician in the proper operation of the device,
the associated risks and preventive measures, the purpose and functions of the safety devices and
best safety practice.
Electrician
A person (maintenance/repair technician) who, due to his/her professional training and experience
is in a position to identify and prevent risks.

Danger
The TOPITEC AUTOMATIC contains internal components that are electrically

powered. Its internal parts do not need to be serviced and there is no need to
open the housing of the device! Please ensure that the TOPITEC
is only opened by an electrician for maintenance purposes and otherwise re-
mains closed!
Warning
This operating manual forms an integral part of the scope of delivery of the
mixing system. A copy of this manual must be accessible at all times to
operating and maintenance personnel.
All safety instructions in this document must be strictly adhered to.
When selling the device, this manual must be handed over to the new owner.
Warning
Never disable or otherwise interfere with the safety devices of the mixing
system. After a failure, repair or service, you must ensure that all safety devices
are correctly installed and working properly.
