6.10 Underbed light (UBL)

The underbed light can be permanently switched on, off or can be controlled automatically.
When automatic control is activated, the underbed light switches on whenever the resident
sits on or near the edge of the bed and leaves the bed. It switches off when the bed is occu-
pied again. Please activate the automatic function for when the resident is lying in bed. In that
moment the function is calibrated.

If the resident rests near the edge of the patient surface, the automatic function
could see this as a preparation to get up and switch on the light. If this happens
frequently and the resident is bothered by this, the automatic function should not
be used.
