5. Operation

5.1 Setting up the digital nursing bed
For setting up the nursing bed sentida 7-i, rooms with even hard floors are suitable.
Floors that are, for example, too soft, unsealed or with imperfections are not suitable. Soft
wooden floors, porous and soft stone floors, carpets with foam backing, soft linoleum or simi-
lar floor covering are mostly unsuitable.
Please make sure that the bed is positioned freely in the room. When setting up the bed in the
intended room, there has to be a safety space around the bed of 20 cm to the wall, window
sills or other furniture. In each position of the bed, also when adjusting the height, there has
to be a distance of 2,5 cm to the wall, other objects and installations.
– When choosing a location, check for mechanical and electrical protection measures such as
wall-mounted bumpers, corner guards, RCB switches and the like.
– Pay attention to the whereabouts of suitable wall sockets for the power supply connection
for the bed. Positions that could lead to collisions or stretching when the bed is adjusted,
or in which the power supply cable stretches too far across the floor or even under the bed,
are unsuitable.
– Extension cords and multiple adapters which lie unsecured on the floor must not be used.
The nursing home bed has to be positioned in the room in a way that it can be easily
disconnected from the power supply.
The nursing home bed is usually not equipped with an equipotential connection.
A combination with other electro-medical equipment is therefore not permitted wi-
thout further safety measures. An equipotential connection can be optionally pro-
