5.8.3 Connecting the Ex Status Module to the Simco-Ion desktop power supply

- Connect the external yellow / green wire from the desktop power supply to a grounded part of
the machine.
- Connect the M12-connector from the desktop power supply with the Ex Status Module. The
remote on/off connection is already connected inside the desktop supply, whereby the anti-
static bar is activated by default when it is connected.
- Connect the power cord to the desktop power supply.

For an EX-bar with cable without protective hose:
When needed: cut the cable to the desired length,
strip cable according to figure 5.8.2.7 and mount the
proper ferrules on the end of the wires.
Turn the gland in the Status Module and run the cable
through the gland. Tighten the clamp ring of the gland
for good sealing and relief from straining.
Connect the cable according to the table below, place
the cover and screw tightly.
