ENGLISH
– Switch off the pump.
– Close the shut-off valve on the discharge side.
Risk of scalding!
Depending on the fluid temperature and
the system pressure, if the vent screw is
completely loosened hot liquid or gas
may escape or even shoot out at high
pressure.
– Protect all electrical parts against the water re-
leased from the unit.
– Open the vent screw carefully using a suitable
tool (Fig. 1, Pos. 1).
– Carefully push the motor shaft back several
times using a screwdriver.
– After 15 to 30 s tighten the vent screw.
– Switch the pump back on.
– Re-open the shut-off valve.
Risk of damage to the pump!
ACHTUNG!
Depending on the intensity of the
operating pressure, the pump is
liable to block when the vent
screw is loose.
Risk of damage to the pump!
ACHTUNG!
The required inlet pressure must
be obtained at the pump suction
side.
Risk of burning if the pump is touched!
Depending on the operating conditions
of the pump and/or installation (pump
medium temperature) the entire pump
can become very hot.
6.2
Setting
– Rotation check for 3~: The direction of rotation
is indicated using an LED either on or in the
terminal box (Fig. 4, Pos 1), depending on the
type of terminal box used. This LED will be green
when the direction of rotation is correct. If the
direction of rotation is incorrect, the LED will
remain dark. To check the direction of rotation
briefly switch on the pump. In case the direction
of rotation is incorrect, proceed as follows:
– Switch off the pump voltage.
– Interchange two phases inside the terminal box.
– Three-phase motors connected to single-
phase mains supplies via hysteresis switching
may run in the wrong direction where the
capacitor is not correctly connected. In such
cases, capacitor connections W2 and V2 must
be swapped (dashed area in Fig. 8 a and 8 g).
Where the SK-C2 is used, connections U1 and
V1 should be swapped (Fig. 8 d).
26
– Restart the pump.
– Speed setting:
For 1~ pumps with terminal box types 1 ,2
(Fig. 4):
Loosen the fixing screws and remove the terminal
box lid. Set the 3-level rotary switch inside the
terminal box (Fig. 4, Pos. 3) to the symbol corre-
sponding to the desired speed.
For 1~ and 3~ pumps with terminal box types 3,
4, 5 (Fig. 4):
Loosen the fixing screws and remove the terminal
box lid. Ensure the pump is switched off before
removing the switching connector (Fig. 4, Pos. 3).
Replace the switching connector such that the
arrow indicates the symbol corresponding to the
desired speed inside the terminal box.
The speed setting can be read through a window
when the terminal box lid is closed.
Risk of damage to the pump!
ACHTUNG!
If both pumps within a double pump
are to be run simultaneously, the
speed setting for both must be
identical.

7 Maintenance/Service

Risk of electric shock!
Prior to maintenance or repair work,
turn off the pump at all terminals and
ensure that it cannot be turned back on
by unauthorised personnel.
Risk of scalding!
In the event of high water temperatures
and high system pressures, the pump
should be allowed to cool down.
Risk of leaking!
ACHTUNG!
Should the motor head be removed
from the pump housing for servicing
or repair work, the O-RING between
the can pot and the pump housing
must be replaced. When assembling
the motor head, ensure the O-ring
is correctly in place.
