▶ Keep the refrigerant temperature in the pressure
equipment at least 4 K above the freezing point of
the coolant. To do so, monitor the outside temperat-
ure of pressure equipment if required.
▶ If the coolant has not been drained before: Monitor
the outside temperature closely, e. g. if water is used
as coolant the temperature must not fall below 4°C.
If the refrigerant is extracted in gaseous form and the
coolant has not been drained before:
▶ Keep the coolant circuit running.
▶ Maintain the coolant temperature at least 4 K above
the freezing point of the coolant.
▶ Monitor the coolant temperature at the extraction
point.

8.3 Disposal of the pressure equipment

The pressure equipment must be removed from the
system and completely emptied.
▶ Loosen all screwed connections.
▶ Remove the pipe bundle and the brackets.
▶ The pressure equipment consists of high-quality
components, see chapter Materials, page 33. Re-
cycle the individual parts or dispose of them prop-
erly.

9.1 Mind when mounting or replacing

WARNING
The system is under pressure!
Serious injuries are possible.
Wear safety goggles!
Assess the risk of intervention and take appropriate
measures, for example: wear additional personal pro-
tective equipment, shut off system or shut off the valves
before and after the respective system part and depres-
surise.
Before mounting
▶ Clean threads and threaded bores carefully.
▶ Use new gaskets only!
▶ Do not oil gaskets.
▶ Flat gaskets may be moistened slightly with oil.
Admissible screwing methods
• Tighten with calibrated torque spanner to indicated
torque.
• Tighten with pneumatic impact wrench and retighten
with calibrated torque spanner to indicated torque.
• Tighten with electronically controlled angled wrench
to indicated torque.
Tolerance range of tightening torques: ±6% of nominal
value
Flange connections
▶ Tighten them crosswise and in at least 2 steps
(50/100%).
