4.6 Connecting the coolant pipes

All threads of the coolant connections are internal
threads (G..) or flanges (DN..). In the seawater resist-
ant design these threaded connections are executed as
nipples.
When screwing the coolant pipes:
▶ Fix the screwed nipple and hold it when screwing-in.
▶ Make sure that no nipple is turned.
▶ Connect the pipes without load and stress.
4.6.1

Coolant passes

Depending on the reversing covers, the coolant passes
the pressure equipment 2, 3, 4, or 6 times.
K573H(B) .. K8503.(B): 4 pass reversing covers are
mounted in standard state of delivery. As alternative 2
pass reversing covers may be ordered. For the models
K033.(B) .. K373H(B) it can be chosen between 4 or 2
passes at the same end cover. This depends the posi-
tions to which the coolant pipes are mounted.

4.6.2 Dimensions of reversing covers and coolant
connections
The dimensions of the reversing covers and the coolant
connections are identical with standard and with sea-
water resistant design. In the following tables the fixing
bracket design is not listed if different variants of one
model are possible
