3.5 System registration

Observe the local regulations. The BITZER shell and
tube condensers are considered as pressure vessels
according to the Pressure Equipment Directive
2014/68/EU in the EU. For this reason the entire sys-
tem must be registered and approved by the supervis-
ory authority according to the local regulations. In Ger-
many, for example, the Industrial Safety Regulation
(BetrSichV) is valid additionally, which requires an in-

spection before commissioning and during operation
periodic inspections.
