Use and maintenance ATOMIZER ON VISION MULTIFUNCTION MACHINE
case of interruption of the activity during the use of the ato-
mizer, keep the agitation until the treatment is resumed. If it
is suspended, shake again the mixture remaining in the tank.
During product handling and mixing, the use of suitable
guards such as rubber gloves, mask or goggles, overalls, etc.
is mandatory.
4.2.4
PRELIMINARY WORKS THAN THE
TREATMENT
The Operator shall:
- Make sure that the conditions of the crops, the development
of the disease or the requirements of prevention justify the
treatment.
- Make sure of the expected weather conditions for all the
time necessary to carry out the treatment.
- Avoid, if possible, the spraying in conditions of sensitive
wind because the sprayed mixture can be dispersed outside
the target (drift).
It is advisable to suspend the treatment when the wind speed
exceeds 10 Km/h (3 m/s).
In the need to operate, we suggest to:
- Increase the size of the drops, thus adjusting the atomizer
appropriately.
- Check that mixtures with more products are physically, che-
mically and biologically compatible with each other; consult
the Seller/Agent.
- Calculate the exact amount of product needed for treatment
and establish the amount of water to be used in the opera-
tion.
- Check that the product is available in sufficient quantity to
complete the work.
DANGER: Carefully read the instructions for use
in the product containers, to check the conditions
of use, the correct dosage and the deadlines.

4.2.5
QUANTITY OF CHEMICAL PRODUCT TO
BE INTRODUCED IN THE TANK
Referring to the delivery table per hectare, obtain the ne-
cessary parameters to adjust the machine and determine
the exact dose of product to be used for each filling. It is
possible to establish the quantity of chemical product to be
inserted in the tank, applying the following formula: Tank volu-
me x dose/ha: l/ha = quantity of product to be inserted in
the tank. Example: Knowing for example the capacity of the
tank (i.e. 150 l), the base of chemical product to be dispensed
per hectare (i.e. 3.5 l/ha) is the quantity of liquid to be distri-
buted (i.e. 150 l/ha): 150 x 3.5: 150 = 3.5 (liters of chemical
product to be inserted in the tank).
4.2.6
ADJUSTMENT CRITERIA AND CHOICE
OF WATER VOLUMES
On the basis of some parameters referring to the crop to be
treated, to the tractor and to the atomizer, it is possible, with
the aid of the below tables, to determine the operating speed,
the flow rate and the time required for the treatment.
From table «1», depending on the inter-row distance and trac-
tor speed, it is obtained the time in minutes to spray one hec-
tare of land by intersection of lines and columns.
Thus, obtained the working time in minutes/hectare, from the
table «2» the value in liters per minute to be supplied on the
crop is obtained by intersection between line and column, ac-
cording to the liters per hectare that one intends to distribute.
Having thus obtained the overall flow rate, dividing this value
by the number of nozzles mounted on the machine gives the
necessary flow rate of each individual nozzle. This value gives
the operating pressure to be set on the regulator to obtain the
correct quantity of liters/minute previously taken from table 2.
