Emptying the Dust Container

Clean the Cyclone insert and the Filters

1. Remove the dust container from the device and empty the dust container (see the "Emptying
the Dust Container" section).
2. Turn the lid of the dust container (20) one step until it comes to the limit stop. Remove
the lid.
3. Remove the HEPA fi lter (19) from the cyclone insert (21) and remove the foam fi lter (18).
4. Tap out the contents of the HEPA fi lter and foam fi lter over a dustbin and brush off the two
components.
5. If necessary, thoroughly rinse the fi lters with clear, lukewarm water. PLEASE NOTE:
Do not under any circumstances clean the fi lters in a washing machine or
dishwasher! Then shake off any excess water and let the fi lters dry completely in the air.
1. Press the release button of the dust container (5) and pull it up
out of the device by the carrying handle (4).
2. Hold the dust container over an open bin. The interval to the
bin should be small enough so that dust from the dust container
falls into the bin only and not over the surrounding area.
3. Press the button for opening the dust container (22). The
bottom of the dust container (23) will open and the dirt will
fall out.
4. Close the bottom of the dust container again. The fastener
must be heard to engage in place.
5. Place the dust container into the device: Pick it up using the
carrying handle and fi rst position the container base into the
device. Then press the handle against the device housing, until
the dust container audibly clicks into the locking device. Hold
the device by the carrying handle and lift it to check whether
the dust container is positioned correctly.
6. Remove the cyclone insert from the dust container. Tap the
cyclone insert over the dustbin and brush off the loose dirt.
You can then wipe it down with a damp cloth.
7. As required, wipe down the dust container with a damp cloth.
8. After drying, place the cyclone insert back into the dust
container. The upper part of the cyclone insert must be placed
around the dust container rim and should not be permitted to
rotate.
