PLEASE NOTE!
Check that the pot, lid and safety devices are all in good working order each time
before you start using them!
Danger of scalding from hot steam or an uncontrolled emission of steam!
If the pressure cooker is to be opened during cooking, the supply of heat must al-
ways be fully stopped and you must wait until the pressure in the pressure cooker
has dropped to normal pressure (see the "Use" chapter, "Pressure Reduction"
section)!
Make sure that the liquid in the pressure cooker never completely evaporates during
the cooking process. If all of the liquid were to evaporate, this would cause the food
to burn and may also result in damage to the pressure cooker.
Make sure that the pressure control valve is not covered by other objects (e.g. oven
gloves) during use!

Checking the Safety Devices

1. Make sure that both the sealing ring (8) and the pressure lid (10) are completely
clean.
2. Make sure that the sealing ring has been inserted in the pressure lid correctly.
3. Make sure that the pressure control valve (1) and the safety valve (2) are clean and
not blocked.
Filling the Pressure Cooker
1. Place the food inside the cooker pot (6). When you do this, follow the specifi cations
on fi ll levels in the "Safety Instructions" chapter. Note the scale on the inside of the
cooker pot!
2. Place the pressure lid (10) on the cooker top and close it shut. Always make sure that
the pressure lid is correctly closed as otherwise it is not possible for pressure to build
up inside the pressure cooker. Do this by following the specifi cations in the "Opening
/ Closing the Pressure Lid" chapter.

Cooking Process

1. Set the pressure control valve (1) so that it is closed. The marking on the pressure
control valve must point towards position 1 or position 2. If the pressure control valve
is not closed, no pressure can be built up inside the cooker pot (6)!
2. Place the pressure cooker on a suitable stove (see the "Suitable Stove Types" chap-
ter).
3. Set the hotplate or hob to a high temperature in order to heat up the pressure cooker
and build up pressure.
4. As soon as pressure builds up inside the pressure cooker, the valve head of the
safety valve (2) in the pressure lid (10) rises up and after a little while some steam will
emerge from the pressure control valve.
5. Reduce the supply of heat as soon as steam emerges from the pressure control valve
(the cooking time is calculated from this point in time). If no steam at all emerges from
