Slide Bar
The slide bar (3) for opening the pressure lid (10) can only be operated if the pressure
inside the cooker pot (6) is normal pressure and the valve head in the safety valve (2)
has lowered.

Opening / Closing the Pressure Lid

CAUTION – Danger of scalding from hot steam or an uncontrolled
emission of steam!
■ Do not adjust the pressure control valve by hand during operation! Always set the
pressure control valve before the pressure cooker is placed on the stove.
■ You should always pivot the pressure cooker slightly before you open it so that no
steam bubbles can spray up.
■ Never open the lid when the cooker is still pressurised! Never move the pressure
control valve to the Ø position while the cooker is still pressurised!
■ Never open the pressure cooker forcibly. Before you open it, always make sure that
the internal pressure has completely subsided.
■ The pressure cooker can only be opened if the safety valve has completely lowered
in the pressure lid and the internal pressure has completely subsided! You should
therefore always allow the pressure cooker to cool down before opening it.
■ Do not heat the cooker if the lid is not in the correct position and locked!

Opening the Lid
1. Push the slide bar (3) with your thumb towards the
cooker pot (6) and separate the top handle (4) and
bottom handle (5) from one another by pushing
them apart. The arrow marked on the pressure lid
(10) is now aligned with the dot marked on the bot-
tom handle.
2. Now take off the pressure lid.
Closing the Lid
1. Place the pressure lid on the cooker pot so that the
arrow marked on the pressure lid is aligned with
the dot marked on the bottom handle.
2. Turn the top handle over the bottom handle until
it engages and can no longer be turned. If neces-
sary, press the slide bar with your thumb to close
the pressure lid.
