Installation
Hazardous voltage
DANGER
The product works with low voltage
(230/400 V AC). Before starting with the installa-
tion,observe the following:
Have all work on electrical connections car-
ried out by a skilled electrician.
The power connection must be executed in
compliance with the mains voltage available.
Follow the instructions as well as the illustrations in the
"Connection diagrams" chapter.
1.
Tools required
For the assembly of the control, you require the following tools:
wooden folding rule or tape measure
cross-tip screwdriver Phillips; size 2
drilling machine
drill 6 mm
Torx screwdriver, size T20
slotted screwdriver for electricians
spirit level
marking pencil
2.
Opening the control cover
Open the housing cover by either loosening the two screws on
the left or right on the cover.
3.
Assembly of the control
Assemble the control as specified on the drilling drawing.

Mains connection
The control is wired in a ready-to-connect fashion using a 16  A
CEE plug and a cable with an approximate length of 1 m in com-
a
pliance with Fig.
. Connect the control via an all-pole line dis-
connecter ≥ 10 A complying with the specifications of EN 12453
to the house wiring system. In doing this, ensure that the line dis-
connecter is easily accessible after the installation.
NOTICE
Checking the mains connection
Ensure that on-site fusing of 10  A is avail-
able.
Check whether the mains connection on
site complies with the pre-wired mains con-
nection of the control.
If the mains connection shows any devi-
ations, the control must be rewired.
For on-site fusing, only use all-current sens-
itive residual current circuit breakers of
type B.
6.
Motor connection line
a
Fig.
The motor connection line is pre-assembled for the motor
and the digital limit switch  DES. The connection is implemented
by fixed cable routing of the motor connection line and using cor-
responding connectors. A digital limit switch complying with PL c
as per EN 13849-1 must be used (DES3, DES4).
The magnetic brake 230 V AC is connected to connection X4.
b
Fig.
Spring fracture safety device / roll-down locking mechan-
ism
If a spring fracture safety device is tripped, the control must be
protected against restart by spring fracture or roll-down safety
switches. The switches must be used as normally closed contact
subject to forced actuation complying with EN  60947-5-1, An-
nex K. With fixed cable routing, the switches are connected to the
terminal board of the DES.
