FITTING THE LINERS
Fitting the liners is a delicate operation and we advise
you to have it carried out by a specialist repair shop.
Before fitting
The diameter of the bore which takes the liner
between 93.6625 to 93.6879 mm (3.6875" to 3.6885").
Place the flange of the liner into its location
that there is a clearcmée of a few tenths
between the cylinder block and the liner flange so that
it may enter easily when the liner is pressed into
position.
Check that the liner or cylinder block shows no signs of
surface defects (projections,

Lightly tallow the surface of the components.
Enter the liner by hand in the bore by distance of 4 to
5 cm (1.5" to This is very important in order to
locate the liner before pressure is applied with the press. Nuts of big end bolts : 7.6 mkg (54 lbs ft).
Selectively assemble the liners to their bores if neces-
scry.
Insertion
Using a mandrel (T. A. Mot. 8) and a press, complete
the insertion of the liner.

After fitting
