3) The locking system is only suited for the installation of a door furniture
set with alternate function / with split handle pin. Do not apply force when
installing the handle pin.
4) The doors must be checked to ensure that they have been installed
properly (e.g. correct air gap and alignment, residual air gap between lock
and keep – single sash 4 ± 2 mm, double sash 4 + 2 mm) and do not show
any distortion.
Notice: Proper functioning of the panicLock AP4 lock is only
possible with the profile cylinder bolted down.
5) If security door locking systems, lock plates, sealing and door closing
units are used, they are to be installed by taking their intended function
with EN 179 (max.release force 70 N) on the handle and with EN 1125 (max.
release force 80 N) on the handle bar is taken into account. The maximum
possible unlocking forces (release forces) are ensured via the adjustment
of the latch bolt operation, not via the adjustment of the hooks. The hooks
must run freely into the lock plate.
6) The panicLock T-AP4 E1 / B1 / D1 locks are to be used for single sash doors
or the master door of double sash doors with stationary slave door; T-AP4
E2 / B2 / D2 are to be used for the master door of double sash doors; T-AP4
"TE" are to be used for the slave door of double sash doors.
7) Fixation material for different doors (made of wood, plastics or metal):
Lock and lock plates: screws of max. 4 x ... mm (length depending on the
door system);
Door furniture set: See the installation instructions of the furniture set
manufacturer.
8) The furniture set should normally be installed at a height of between
900 mm and 1100 mm above the surface of the finished floor with the
door closed (analog specification of EN 179 / 1125).
