3 Instructions for mounting
1) Cut the door element according to Winkhaus specifications, e.g. see
Appendix and / or Technical Catalogue / cutting drawings, and ensure that
the element is kept free from swarf. The lock may not be installed if the

door elements are warped or damaged.
2) The selection, combination and installation of the lock, lock plates,
profile cylinder and furniture set for FS sets (spindle size 9 mm) have to
be performed according to the technical documents of the (individual)
manufacturer. Mount the handle / fittings hand-tight and check for easy
operation.

DANGER!
IMPORTANT ADVICE! ABSOLUTELY VITAL TO READ THIS!
Emergency exit / panic door locks can block if not fitted with
the correct cylinder. In this case the escape door can not be
opened and / or the emergency lock can be destroyed. A profile
cylinder in accordance with EN 1303 (corrosion resistance class
C) must be used, generally with cam position ± 30°, in each case
with smooth-running "free to turn" function or stationary cam
position.
In order to prevent blockage of the lock, no key or key ring may
be inserted in the locking cylinder!
With use of electronic profile cylinders from Winkhaus, the
variants blueChip or blueSmart in version ... / 18 must be used!
Specially for electronic (knob) cylinders has to be due to an
increased drag effect to a secure case default!
Caution! Exceptions are panicLock AP179 / AP1125 and
panicLock blueMotion EN179 / 1125. Only panic free to turn
cylinders with FZG anti-barricade function and cam position
max. ± 30 ° can be used!
When using Winkhaus profile cylinders for panicLock BM, only
the mechanical variants ... / 15 are possible!
