2.3 panicLock AP179 AV3 OR, automatic multi-point
locking system with switching function E
The mechanical anti-panic locking system with automatic security via two self-
triggering hooks and latches in the variation panicLock M 179 (according to DIN
EN 179) with switching function E (continuous follower) fulfils all requirements
for a quick opening function from the inside, yet still provides protection from
the outside thanks to the sturdy hooks. Suitable for single sash doors and / or
double sash doors with fixed slave door made from aluminium, wood and PVC-U.
Winkhaus panicLock AV3 OR (without main deadbolt) requires a profile cylinder,
usually with a cam position ± 45°, with a smooth-running free to turn function or
rigid cam position.
2.4 panicLock AP179 AV3 OR KG, the nursery
school solution
Nurseries require "safe doors" in daily use. Children should not leave the daycare
center through these doors unsupervised. At the same time, however, the little
ones must be able to get outside without any help from others in an emergency.
The premises must also be protected against unwanted visitors and burglary.
That's why Winkhaus offers the panicLock AP179 AV3 OR KG anti-panic
locking system – the kindergarten solution as a system that is prepared for such
tasks. This increases the scope for design in an area subject to strict regulations.
Access from the outside is thus safely denied. For pick-up and delivery times is a
temporary one external access possible. The door can be opened from inside at
all hours as an emergency exit.
