10. Make sure that object being cut does not exceed the usable cutting length of the
chain saw. The tip of guide bar shall always stick out at least 1-31/32" (5 cm)
outside the outline of the wood log.
To Start the Chain Saw (Fig. 12)
1. Install the battery pack.
2. Make sure that no objects or
obstructions that could come in
contact with the bar and chain are
in the immediate vicinity.
3. Pull the chain-kickback brake
paddle towards the front handle to
the operating position (see Fig. 1).
4. Grasp the front handle and the rear handle firmly, using both hands.
5. Move the locking tongue forward and then press the trigger switch. The more you
pull up the trigger switch, the higher rotating speed of the saw chain is.

To Stop the Chain Saw
1. Move the chain saw away from cutting area, and then release the trigger switch
to stop the chain saw.
2. Push the chain-kickback brake paddle forward to the brake position to engage
the chain brake (see Fig. 1).
