C. THE HELMET
Tip:
Place the helmet on a level surface or, if you are sitting, place it in your
lap. When fitting or removing the sun visor, hold it by means of a soft
clean cloth (microfiber cloth recommended) to avoid fingerprints and
scratches.
Caution:
When fitting or removing the sun visor, avoid any contact between the
sun visor and the outer helmet shell.

12. INTERNAL ELEMENTS

The replaceable, washable internal elements of the C3 ensure a superb fit to-
gether with the best possible ventilation of the helmet. The internal features
are made of a soft, skin-friendly and breathable material. The comfortable
cheek pads provide soft cushioning for the cheeks, while the headband pad
gives good and comfortable positioning on the head without blocking the
ventilation channels.
INSTALLING AND REMOVING
HEADBAND PAD
The sewn-in plastic bar on the forehead section
and the retention flaps in the neck area are used
as mounting assists.
1. Slide the plastic strip gradually under
the recesses of the plastic strip
attached to the inner shell.
2. Insert the plastic strap with the round
perforation over the pin sewn in to the
rear of the cheek pad and fix it in place
using the red-marked connector pin.

Warning:
Never ride when any of the internal elements are removed.
Warning:
Strong heat sources (such as heat from the exhaust) can damage
the internal elements.
Caution:
To prevent damage to the internal features and inner shell, do not
hang the helmet over the mirrors or handlebar grips.

13. VENTILATION SYSTEMS

VENTILATION 1 – VISOR SET TO CITY POSITION
The C3 features a visor that can be set to various different positions. Open
the visor until it does not fog over but your eyes are protected from strong
air currents. In its second latch position the visor is in the so-called city
position. Air entering through the bottom gap passes over the inside of the
visor and exits via the opening on the upper edge. Open the visor, initially
going past the city position. In a subsequent downward movement of the
visor you can then easily set this position.
VENTILATION 2 – MINIMAL O
The ventilation inlet on the chin guard provides a
minimal ventilation function with a constant feed of
fresh air. This is scarcely noticed by the rider, yet it
already delivers fresh air effectively at relatively low
speeds of about 30 km/h and above, provided that
the helmet is fully in the airstream. This helps prevent
fogging of the visor even when the helmet is
completely closed and prevents excessive CO
buildup.
