8. CHIN GUARD

The C3 features a swiveling chin guard that is easy to open and close using
the control element positioned centrally on it.
LOCKING SYSTEM
When closed, the chin guard is equipped left and right with a specially
developed locking system that draws on the designs of car door locks.
The chin guard can be opened by pressing just one button.
OPERATION
The chin guard can be opened or closed, regardless of the positions of the
visor and the sun visor. A secure end locking position ensures that the chin
guard remains securely in position when raised.
Opening the Chin Guard
1. To release the chin guard, slide the red
button situated in the middle of the
chin guard forward with your thumb
in the direction of the arrow until it
reaches its end stop.

2. Now you can swivel the chin guard up
to its end locking position in the up
position.
Closing the Chin Guard
To close the chin guard, swivel it downwards
with your hand until it locks into place on both
sides with a clearly audible sound.
Caution:
Each time you close the chin guard, check that it has properly locked in
place by pushing upward on it from below.
Tip:
When using the additional anti-noise pad it can be helpful when closing
the chin guard to grip with a finger under the chin padding to move the
guard over the chin.
Warning:
Never ride with the chin guard raised.
