C. THE HELMET

11. SUN VISOR

PANE
The sun visor is scratch-resistant and thanks to the special polycarbonate used
in its manufacture it offers effective protection from harmful UV radiation * .
* Tested to the Australian standard AS/NZS 1067:2003 for sun glasses, Lens Category 3.
OPERATION
The sun visor is controlled via a slider positioned
on the left-hand side in the chin area. It can be
operated irrespective of the position of the visor.
1. To lower the sun visor, push the slider
rearwards.
2. To lower the sun visor in the inner
shell of the helmet, move the slider
forwards.
Caution:
The sun visor can only be operated by means of the slider.
Warning:
Never ride in the dark or in poor visibility conditions with the sun
visor down. Always raise the sun visor before entering tunnels.

FITTING AND REMOVING THE SUN VISOR
The sun visor can be changed without the use of tools.
Removing the Sun Visor
1. Open the chin guard and lock in
position.
2. Swivel the sun visor downwards.
3. Bend the snap fastening slightly
outwards until the sun visor can be
pulled away from the retaining pin on
one side.
4. Repeat this step on the other side.
Tip:
The sun visor holders should be left in the lowered position until
a sun visor is fitted once again.
Fitting the Sun Visor
1. Insert sun visor between the snap
fastenings and clip onto the retaining
pin on one side.
2. Repeat this step on the other side.
3. Lower the sun visor using the slider.
4. Check the proper functioning of the
mechanism by moving the slider back
and forth several times.
