■ Switch control air off at an external quick exhaust valve.
■ If painting has finished or a longer painting pause is planned, discon-
nect the spraying air and the material supply and heed the instructions
for care and storage (see chapter 12).

11. Maintenance and repairs

The following chapter describes the procedures involved for maintaining
and repairing the automatic gun.
Warning!
Risk of injuries from components coming loose or leaking
material
If assembly work is performed while the gun is still connected to the
compressed air circuit and material supply, components can unexpect-
edly work loose and material can leak.
→ Disconnect the automatic gun from the compressed air circuit and the
material supply before any installation work.
→ Depressurise the system.
11.1. Replacing the nozzle set
The nozzle set consists of a tested combination of paint needle [7-4], air
cap [7-7] and fluid tip [7-6]. Always replace the complete nozzle set.
Dismantle the nozzle set
■ Unscrew the cap [7-1].
■ Remove both springs [7-2], [7-3].
■ Remove paint needle [7-4].
■ Unscrew the air cap ring [7-8] and remove together with the air cap
[7-7].
■ Unscrew the fluid tip [7-6] using the SATA universal spanner [3-3] .
Mount the nozzle set
Attention!
Damage from incorrect installation
The components can be damaged if fitted in the wrong order.
→ Always fit the fluid tip before the paint needle.
■ Screw in the fluid tip [7-6] using the SATA universal spanner [3-3].
■ Position the air cap ring [7-8] together with the air cap [7-7] and screw
on. Heed the correct nozzle setting and check that the notches in the air
cap are aligned with the tapered dowel pin [9-2].
