■ Insert the paint needle [7-4].
■ Insert both springs [7-2], [7-3].
■ Screw on the cap [7-1].
■ Adjust the material flow if necessary (see chapter 10.2).
11.2. Replacing the air distribution ring
Attention!
Damage from incorrect installation
The nozzle head can be damaged if too much force is used.
→ Always use SATA extraction tool.
Warning!
Risk of injury from sharp edges
There is a risk of injury from sharp edges when fitting the nozzle set.
→ Wear protective gloves.
→ Always use the SATA extraction tool pointing away from your body.
■ Dismantle nozzle set (see chapter 11.1).
■ Remove the air distribution ring [8-1] using the SATA extraction tool
[8-2].
■ Check sealing surfaces for damage and soiling, clean or replace if
necessary.
Mount the air distribution ring
■ Insert the air distribution ring [9-3] in the nozzle head [9-1]. The pin on
the bottom of the air distribution ring must be aligned accordingly.
■ Press the air distribution ring in evenly.
■ Mount nozzle set (see chapter 11.1).
11.3. Replacing the paint needle seal retainers
If the paint needle seal retainer is damaged or worn, material can leak
from the inspection hole [1-3], [2-3]. Replace the paint needle seal re-
tainer immediately.
Dismantle the paint needle seal retainer
■ Unscrew the cap [10-1].
■ Remove both springs [10-2], [10-3].
■ Remove paint needle [10-4].
■ Pull the control piston out [10-5].
■ Unscrew both fastening screws [10-6] with the Torx screwdriver.
