Operating Instructions SATAjet 1800 M
■ Take the gun body [10-7] from the nozzle head [10-10].
■ Remove the seal [10-9].
■ Remove the paint needle seal retainer [10-8].
■ Check seal and paint needle seal retainer for damage and soiling, clean
or replace if necessary.
Mount the paint needle seal retainer
■ Place the seal [10-9] on the nozzle head [10-10].
■ Insert the paint needle seal retainer [10-8].
■ Fit the gun body [10-7] in the correct position on the nozzle head.
■ Screw both fastening screws [10-6] tight with the Torx screwdriver.
■ Insert the control piston [10-5].
■ Insert the paint needle [10-4].
■ Position both springs [10-3], [10-2].
■ Screw on the cap [10-1].
■ Adjust the material flow if necessary (see chapter 10.2).
11.4. Replace spindle of the round / flat fan control (only for
control module with internal round / flat can control)
Dismantle spindle
■ Unscrew the countersunk screw [11-4].
■ Remove the control knob [11-3].
■ Unscrew the spindle [11-2] using the SATA universal spanner [3-3].
Mount the spindle
■ Screw the spindle [11-2] in using the SATA universal spanner [3-3].
■ Position the control knob [11-3].
■ Coat the countersunk screw [11-4] with Loctite 242 and screw hand-
tight.
11.5. Replace control piston
Attention!
Damage from incorrect installation
The sealing surface of the control piston is very sensitive and damages
easily.
→ Do not clamp piston valve on the sealing surface.
Dismantle control piston
■ Unscrew the cap [10-1].
■ Remove both springs [10-2], [10-3].
■ Remove paint needle [10-4].
