Commissioning

While commissioning an industrial truck, the
following items must be noted:

Initial commissioning

Please inspect the device carefully and thoroughly
before carrying out initial commissioning. In the
process, make sure that all electrical and hydraulic
connections are connected properly.
Check all mechanical connections, all screw
connections and the oil fill levels for the hydraulic
and gearbox oil. In principle, initial commissioning
should only be carried out be trained technicians.

Driving the stacker truck in

During the first few operating hours, we recommend
to not use the stacker truck at full capacity yet, but
to start out with lighter loads. This improves the
performance of the stacker truck, and prevents
accelerated wear. In general, do not load the
stacker truck with more than 70 - 80% of the
permissible maximum load.
Furthermore, do not run down the batteries to
below 30 - 40%. Joints and other moveable parts
must be lubricated more frequently to allow grease /
oil to completely spread on the parts.
After approx. 50 hours of operation, you may finally
use the new stacker truck at full capacity.

Daily start-up

The driver must check the functionality of the
equipment on a daily basis before starting up the
work. A visual check should be carried out. The
following issues should be checked during the daily
functionality test:

Brake unit

Check the locking brake for proper function:
The stacker truck may not be moved when
switched off.

Steering and control

The steering must be easily operable and
jolt-free.
Buttons, control levers and handles must
be in perfect condition.

Key switch

It must be easy to pull off the key.
After pulling off the key, or if the key switch
is set to the 0 position, the stacker truck cannot
and must not be used.

Safety devices

The emergency stop switch must shut
down the equipment.
The emergency stop switch must not be
bypassed.

Fork

The forks must be free of cracks.
The forks must not be bent.
The fork carrier must not be bent.

Wheels

Driving and guide wheels must be free from
foreign objects.

Warning features

The horn must be in working order.
If any defects are detected during the inspection
before starting the work that could impact or pose
danger to the operation or safety of the equipment,
the driver must immediately take measures for a
professional repair.
It would be negligent to resume operation of the
stacker truck and this must not be done until the
equipment is repaired and ready for proper
operation again.

Daily maintenance work

Check the stacker truck daily for technical defects
prior to the start of work (visual check). The daily
check of the equipment is part of the stacker truck
'
driver
s daily duties in order to ensure safe handling
of the equipment.

Operating materials

Prior to starting work, check the stacker truck daily
for loss or leakage of operating materials such as
hydraulic oil and battery acid.
