21. The stacker truck must only be used by persons
that are physically and mentally capable of
doing so. Physical limits must always be
observed. Each operator has individual limits,
depending on the ambient temperature, the
weight of the goods to be moved, the number of
driving jobs, number and length of breaks and
individual
fitness.

and fatigue can easily lead to errors with
potentially serious consequences.

handling the device carefully.
23. Improper use on a surface which is uneven or
unpaved, or has too little load carrying capacity
can lead to serious accidents and injuries.
Before driving, always check the substrate to
ensure that it has sufficient load capacity (e.g.
lifts, loading ramps, trailers) and that it is
adequately secured/attached so that it cannot
slip down or slide out when driven over (loading
ramp / trailer).
24. Always make sure you only move secured
goods. Fasten the goods properly to protect
them from sliding or dropping. This applies for
moving around goods on the ground as well as
working with suspended goods.
25. Be especially careful when transporting moving
loads
(e.g.
liquids).
vibrations that are transferred to the load by
manoeuvring, accelerating, braking or repeated
pump actuations can easily escalate and

the
stability/steadiness
equipment and the load. The higher the load is
raised, the stronger is its influence on the
stability of the stacker truck.
26. Always ensure that no parts of the body are
positioned below the fork when dealing with the
stacker truck. Maintain a small safety distance
when working beside the lifted fork. Under no
circumstances place your hand below the
stacker truck or into the lifting mechanism.
Under no circumstances attempt to loosen a
blockage or grasp an object by hand, if the
lifting mechanism is blocked (e.g. by a load
protruding into the lifting mechanism, incorrect
positioning/malfunction of the lifting mechanism
or a defect), or if there is an object beneath the
fork that prevents further work with the
equipment. Never reach into shearing points!

implement that allows removal of the blockage
from a safe distance, without being exposed to

27. Ensure that the stacker truck is not exposed to
lateral forces, especially when the fork is raised.
The stacker truck (with or without load) is far
less stable in this state than when it is lowered.
This could cause the stacker truck to tip over,
goods to be damaged, and thus pose danger to
life and limb.
28. Always pay attention to the centre of gravity of
the loaded goods. The centre of gravity may
shift to one side or in direction to the end of the
fork due to uneven loading or unloading,
threatening the stability of the stacker truck. The
stacker truck may be tipped over and damaged
more easily, and damage goods, or endanger or
hurt the operator or bystanders. Always pay
attention to the load centre and, if possible,
always move the stacker truck with the fork
lowered.
29. If possible, always move the stacker truck with
the fork lowered. The stacker truck is much less
stable, if loaded and with raised fork. The risk of
an accident is therefore much higher. If
possible, lower the fork to just above the
ground, move the stacker truck to its destination
then return the fork to the height you need. Lift
the fork only after you have arrived at the
destination. If the stacker truck is moved with
raised fork, then do drive extremely carefully
and avoid any abrupt manoeuvres. Never lift or
lower the fork while the stacker truck is in
motion.
30. The stacker truck must only be operated via the
drawbar and the control elements. Carry out the
process via the drawbar. Do not, for example,
reach to the side of the frame, or even into the
lifting device itself to drive or manoeuvre.
Ensure that hands and feet are not in the
vicinity of the lifting device or the forks when
lowering the platform.
