Standard rules for the stacker truck driver

I.
Work with loads (loading and unloading)
a. Do not exceed load-bearing capacity; refer to load capacity chart
b. Pick up the load as close as possible to the back of the fork. Make sure that the load does not
slips off, roll off, slides off or tips over.
c. When loading the stacker truck, make sure to leave enough space to ensure proper visibility of
the lane.
II.
Safety is first priority while driving the stacker truck
d. Keep the load-bearing equipment set as low as possible.
e. Avoid bumps on the lane, drive slowly through curves and negotiate turns as widely as
possible.
f.
Carry loads facing the slope while going up and down gradients.
III.
Always consider the safety of others
g. While driving, always watch out for people in the path and in the vicinity.
h. Use approved routes only.
i.
Keep a clearance of one meter from exits and driveways.
j.
Drive slowly through gates and aisles, as well as at intersections and junctions. Watch out for
cross traffic.
IV.
Always handle the stacker truck with care
k. Before starting to drive, check the equipment for proper function and obvious damage.
l.
Do not take any passengers on the stacker truck.
m. Do not let any person ride on the lifting equipment when lifting or lowering.
n. Before leaving the stacker truck, lower the lifting equipment. Remove the key switch and take
it along. Activate emergency stop switch.
