Battery acid


Battery acid is toxic and corrosive. While
handling the batteries, always wear required
protective clothing (safety glasses, gloves,
apron, etc.).

Do not inhale the vapours of the battery
acid. Work on batteries must be carried out in
well ventilated spaces only.

Avoid direct contact of battery acid with
your skin. Immediately rinse spilled or sprayed
battery acid with plenty of clean water.
General information regarding IMOW-E-BF-06 series pallet
stackers
The IMOW-E-BF-06 series pallet stacker is an electrically operated pallet stacker. The drive is provided by an
electric motor whose speed is monitored by a Curtis control system. An additional electric motor drives the
hydraulic pump.
The movements of the fork are hydraulic. The stacker truck is steered by mere muscle power. To reduce the
applied force, it is recommended to carry out steering manoeuvres only when the pallet stacker is in motion. If
the stacker truck is steered at a standstill, movements are naturally made with greater difficulty than while
driving. This is not a defect, but is design related. The hydraulic pump is driven by an electric motor. Therefore,
the hydraulic functions can only be operated while the stacker truck is switched on. The pallet stacker may only
be operated from the operator side. All necessary control elements can be easily reached on the drawbar head.

In case of direct contact of battery acid with
the eyes or mucous membranes, rinse with
plenty of clean water and consult a doctor
immediately.

Charging batteries
oxyhydrogen gas which can remain in the air
for a long period of time. Therefore, batteries
must only be charged in well ventilated spaces.
No smoking, fire or open light permitted in the
direct vicinity (3m) of a charging or charged
battery!
