19.
Safe handling of loads
During the loading process, make sure that the load
will not be able to slide while driving. No objects
may reach into the moveable parts of the lifting
mast. This could lead to defects and damage to the
stacker truck and the load.
20.
Transport load low to the ground
It is very dangerous to leave the forks set to a high
position. Regardless of whether the stacker truck is
at a standstill or moving (with or without a load), the
maximum distance of the forks to the ground should
not exceed 15 to 30 cm.
21.
Watch out for doors, and negotiate
corners slowly
Watch out for branch lines, cable routes, gate
passages and protrusions. Drive with utmost care in
busy halls, warehouses, etc.
At
intersections,
junctions,
passages always drive slowly and look ahead.
Keep a clearance of at least one meter to exits and
doors.
22.
Keep a clearance to curbs and ramps
Always keep an adequate safety clearance to curbs
and ramps to prevent the stacker truck from
skidding or tipping over.
23.
Driving across etc. loading ramps or
platforms
Prior to driving across loading ramps or platforms,
make sure that the respective ramp or platform is
designed to carry the weight of the stacker truck
including its load. Evaluate the features of the
subsurface to be driven on, before commencing
with the work.
24.
Proper start-up on slopes
When the stacker truck is loaded, the rear part of
the stacker truck should always point to the
lower/bottom side of the slope.
When the stacker truck is not loaded, the rear part
of the stacker truck should always point to the
higher side of the slope.
25.
Avoid working on upward/downward
slopes
Never

tilted/lopsided. Avoid working on a slope/incline.
Never park the stacker truck on slopes
for brief periods.

Evaluate the subsurface to be driven on
Evaluate the subsurface to be driven on.
Look out for holes, large cracks, obstacles, oil
or grease spots. Look out for anything that
could cause you to lose control over the stacker
truck.
Remove waste and dirt. Pick up everything
in the way that could damage the wheels or
imbalance the load.
Always drive slowly on wet and slippery
surfaces. Do not drive too close to the curb.
Never operate the stacker truck outdoors in
windy, stormy, snowy and similar conditions, for
example. Do not operate the stacker truck
outdoors especially at wind velocities of more
than 10m/s.
27.
Proper parking
Lower the forks to the end position and switch off
the stacker truck. Remove the key and make sure
that the brakes of the stacker truck are applied. The
parking space to be selected must be far from any
hazard sources such as fire, etc.. Do not block
aisles or doors.
28.
Towing
As the brake works by spring force and only
releases when the stacker truck is switched on, the
stacker truck must not be towed. If there is
absolutely no alternative to towing the stacker truck,
release the brake first.
Failure to do this can cause serious damage to the
brake, motor and gears.
29.
Operating / warnings notices
Some operating and warning notices are attached
directly to the stacker truck. Always adhere to these
notices. Check the condition of the notices
regularly. Replace, if the notices become damaged
or illegible.
30.
Vibrations
Depending on the surface being travelled on,
vibrations and shocks can be transmitted to the
operating driver. Make sure that you avoid kerbs
and uneven ground or drive slowly and carefully.
Due to its design, the stacker truck has no shock
absorption whatsoever. HanseLifter does not grant
any warranty for damage caused by failure to
observe these instructions.
