Local Standards
All Installations must be completed in
accordance with the local regulations
(electrical, plumbing, urbanism and others)
and standards that apply in your area.
Installations in the territory of Australia
must comply with the requirements of AS
/NZS 3500.4 (AS /NZS3500.4.2 "National
Plumbing and Drainage Code Hot Water
Supply Systems – Acceptable Solutions"),
as well as any relevant local standards and
regulations .

1. Installation must be completed by a
qualified installer, who holds relevant
industry licenses or certificates required
for the work completed during the
installation process .
2. The term "authorized person(s)" or
installer used throughout this document
refers to a suitably qualified professional.
3. Unless otherwise specified, no part
of the HELIOAKMI solar system may
be inspected, repaired or maintained
by anybody other than an authorized
person .
Safety
1. At all times installers must adhere to
operation health and safety guidelines as
outlined by Workcare, and other relevant
industry associations.
2. At all times installer is responsible
for their own safety while completing
installations .
3. Under no circumstances should any
person, qualified or otherwise, attempt
to install an HELIOAKMI solar water
heating system without thoroughly
READING and UNDERSTANDING this
installation manual. For any queries
HELIOAKMI staff may be contacted.
provisions of Safe Tray
It is a requirement of AS /NZS 3500.4 that
for a new installation, a water heater be
installed in a safe tray where in the event
of a leak, property may otherwise be
damaged. Construction, installation and
draining of a safe tray must comply with the
above mentioned Standard.
Instructions for Draining the system
Turn off The Water Heater
If it is necessary to turn off the water heater
on completion of the installation, such as
on a building site or where the premises is
vacant, then:
- Switch off the electrical supply at the
isolating switch to the water heater.
- Close the cold water isolation valve at the
inlet to the water heater.
Solar Storage Tank Draining
To drain the solar storage tank:
- Close all hot water taps.
- Operate the relief valve release lever -
do not let the lever snap back or you will
damage the valve seat.
- Operating the lever will release the
pressure in the water heater.
- Undo the union at the cold water inlet to
the solar storage tank and attach a hose
to the water heater side of the union.
- Let the other end of the hose go to a drain.
- Operate the relief valve again.
This will let air into the water heater and
allow the water to drain through the hose.
Warning:
The solar circuit may be under
pressure. Take care when removing the
solar circuit relief valve, as a sudden
discharge of pressurized hot vapor may
be experienced. This discharge will create
a sharp sound of vapor being released.
Open the heat exchanger drain valve and
remove the plug from the end of the hose.
The closed circuit fluid will flood the hose.
Place the end of the hose into a container
and drain the closed circuit fluid from the
heat exchanger.
Note:
The heat exchanger can contain
many liters of closed circuit fluid. A
suitably sized container should be used to
accommodate this amount of fluid.
The closed circuit fluid contains food grade
additives (rust inhibitor, antifreeze agent,
colour) and is harmless to the environment.
However, it is good practice to recover any
excess closed circuit fluid and remove from
site for appropriate disposal.
Warning:
If the hot water system is not
used for two weeks or more, a quantity
of highly flammable hydrogen gas may
accumulate in the water heater. To dissipate
this gas safely, it is recommended that a
hot tap be turned on for several minutes or
until discharge of gas ceases. Use a sink,
basin, or bath outlet, but not a dishwasher,
clothes washer, or other appliance. During
this procedure, there must be no smoking,
open flame, or any electrical appliance
operating nearby. If hydrogen is discharged
through the tap, it will probably make an
unusual sound as with air escaping.
From the warranty are excluded:
• The glass of the collector.
• Damages to the tank, resulting from
failure to replace the magnesium rod.
• Damages to the tank, resulting from
failure to fit the over pressure limiting
valve, in areas where the water supply
pressure exceeds 4 Bar.
• Damages to the tank, resulting from
the quality of the water (according to
the technical regulations in force to the
country of installation of the product).
• Damages to the tank, when the feed water
of the tank derives from rivers, lakes,
wells, drillings or desalination processes.
• When the electrical thermostat is set to be
constantly operating at over 60°C .
• Installers must ensure that they select
the right lightning protection devices
according to the technical regulations
of the country where the product will be
installed.
• Damages on the product caused from
an erroneous installation and/or from a
wrong manipulation of the product and/or
its accessories .
• Damages on the product and/or its
accessories caused during transportation,
removal and/or due to inappropriate
storage of the product.
• Damages on the product resulting from
acts of God, frost, wear and tear, force
majeure.
• Salt scaling in the collector (only for open
circuit) .
• When the closed circuit has not been
filled with an approved antifreeze liquid,
appropriate for solar systems.
• The connection, adaptation, integration,
incorporation or assembly of other
equipment or parts that either directly
or indirectly affect the operation or
performance of this product.
• When the service and/or repair was made
by unauthorized and not-specialized staff.
• When local plumbing, electrical, sanitary,
urban and other regulations are not
observed.
• The warranty does not cover problems
related to the installation of the products;
the installer must deal eventual problems
related to the installation.
• The warranty is not valid, if the product is
treated in an incorrect manner, damaged
or installed from an unauthorized and not
specialized person.
• The warranty is not valid if you do not
comply with the payment terms on the
scheduled dates.
Any
repair,
inspection,
service
and
replacement of any component, shall in no
case result in an extension of the warranty
period. Any dispute or disagreement on
the interpretation of both the terms and
provisions of the present warranty is
subject to the Greek law and responsible
are the Greek courts of Athens in Greece
Normativas Locales
Todas las instalaciones deben realizarse
de acuerdo con las normativas vigentes
(eléctricas, hidraúlicas, urbanas, y otras) y
reglamentos de su zona. Las instalaciones
en el territorio de Australia deben realizarse
de acuerdo con los requisitos en AS /NZS
3500.4 (AS /NZS3500.4.2 «Código Nacio-
nal de Plomería y Drenaje para Sistemas
de Suministro de Agua Caliente – Solucio-
nes Aplicables») además de las normativas
vigentes y los reglamentos locales.

1. La instalación debe realizarse por una
persona profesional, un instalador, que
tenga las licencias o certificados re-
levantes al trabajo que vaya a llevar a
cabo durante la instalación.
2. Los términos «persona(s) autorizada(s)»
o «instalador(es)» que se emplean en
todo el documento se refieren a un pro-
fesional cualificado.
3. A menos que se indique lo contrario,
ninguna parte del sistema solar HE-
LIOAKMI no debería ser inspeccionada,
reparada o supervisada por otra persona
que no esté autorizada. Para cualquier
duda debe ponerse en contacto con el
personal de HELIOAKMI.
Seguridad
1. En todo momento los instaladores deben
respetar las instrucciones de funciona-
miento, salud y seguridad indicadas por
Workcare y otras asociaciones industria-
les relevantes.
2. En todo momento el instalador es res-
ponsable de sus propias acciones y se-
guridad durante la instalación.
3. En ningún caso debe una persona, cua-
lificada o no, intentar instalar un sistema
solar HELIOAKMI sin previamente haber
LEÍDO detalladamente y ENTENDIDO
este manual de instalación.
Disposiciones de una Bandeja Segura
El requisito de AS /NZS 3500.4 en cuanto a
una nueva instalación, es que el calentador
de agua sea instalado en una bandeja se-
gura donde, en caso de fuga, la propiedad
no pueda dañarse. La construcción, ins-
talación y drenaje de una bandeja segura
debe realizarse de acuerdo con la Norma-
tiva antes citada.
Instrucciones para Drenar el sistema
apagar el Calentador de agua
Si es necesario apagar el calentador de
agua, una vez completada la instalación,
como por ejemplo, en una edificación o en
locales vacíos, entonces:
- Apague el abastecimiento de electricidad
en el interruptor de aislamiento al calenta-
dor del agua.
- Cierre la válvula de aislamiento de agua
fría en la entrada del calentador de agua.
Drenaje del acumulador Solar
Para drenar el acumulador solar:
- Cierre todos los grifos de agua caliente.
- Haga funcionar la palanca de liberación
de la válvula de alivio de presión, no deje
que la palanca se rompa porque de este
modo se dañará el fondo de la válvula.
- Hacer que funcione la palanca liberará la
presión en el calentador de agua caliente.
- Desenrosque la entrada del agua fría del
acumulador solar y ponga una manguera
en la parte de la unión con el calentador
de agua.
- Deje que el otro lado de la manguera lle-
gue a un desagϋe.
- Haga funcionar la válvula de alivio de pre-
sión de nuevo.
Esto permitirá tanto que entre aire en el ca-
lentador de agua como que el agua vaya al
desagϋe a través de la manguera.
aviso: El circuito solar quizá se encuentre
bajo presión. Tenga cuidado al quitar la
válvula de alivio del circuito solar ya que
es posible que haya una repentina des-
carga de presión de vapor caliente. Esta
descarga creará un sonido agudo de vapor
liberado. Abra la válvula de drenaje del
Intercambiador de calor y quite el tapón del
extremo de la manguera. El fluido del cir-
cuito cerrado llenará la manguera. Coloque
el extremo de la manguera en un contene-
dor y drene el fluido del circuito cerrado del
intercambiador de calor.
observación:
El intercambiador de calor
puede contener muchos litros de fluido del
circuito cerrado. Un contenedor de tamaño
adecuado debe ser utilizado para dar cabi-
da a esta cantidad de fluido.
El fluido del circuito cerrado contiene aditi-
vos alimentarios (antioxidante, agente anti-
congelante, color) y no perjudica al medio
ambiente.Sin embargo, es aconsejable re-
cojer el excesivo fluido del circuito cerrado
y tirarlo de manera adecuada.
aviso:
Si el sistema de agua caliente no
se usa durante dos semanas o más, una
cantidad de gas de hidrógeno altamente in-
flamable puede cumularse en el calentador
de agua. Para disipar el gascon seguridad,
se recomienda abrir un grifo de agua ca-
lientedurante varios minutos o hasta que
la fuga de gas ceda. Utilice un fregadero,
lavabo o salida de la bañera, pero no un
lavavajillas, una lavadora, u otro aparato.
Durante este proceso no se debe fumar,
no debe haber llamas ni debe haber cerca
ningún aparato eléctrico encendido. Si el
hidrógeno se descarga a través de la ca-
nilla del grifo, es probable que produzca un
sonido raro como cuando sale aire.
Queda excluido della garantia:
• Vidrio del colector.
• Los danos en el acumulador ocasionados
por no reemplazar la barra de magnesio.
El representante local debe confirmar el
reemplazo de la barra de magnesio me-
diante la presentacion del formulario que
se incluye en la garantia (REEMPLAZO
DE LA BARRA DE MAGNESIO) .
• Danos en el acumulador por no colocar
una valvula de disminucion de presion
en las zonas donde la presion del agua
superalos 4Bar .
• Danos en el acumulador causados por la
calidad del agua (conforme a las normas
tιcnicas vigentes del pais en donde se ins-
tale el producto).
• Danos en el acumulador en el caso que el
suministro de agua del acumulador pro-
venga de rios, lagos, pozos o procesos de
perforacion o salinizacion.
• Cuando el termostato electrico opere
constantemente a mas de 60°C .
• El instalador debe asegurar una correcta
seleccion de pararrayos conforme a las
normas
• Danos ocasionados por no proporcionar
anticongelantes aprobados y apropiados
para los sistemas solares en el circuito
cerrado.
• La conexion, adaptacion, incorporacion,
integracion o el ensamblaje de otro equi-
pamiento o repuestos que directa o indi-
rectamente influya en el funcionamiento
y/o en el rendimiento de este producto.
• Si la revision y/o la reparacion se efectua
mediante representantes no autorizados.
• Incumplimiento de las normas de electri-
cidad, fontaneria, sanidad, urbanizacion,
entre otras .
• La garantia no incluye problemas relacio-
nados con la instalacion. Dichos proble-
mas estaran a cargo del instalador que
haya llevado a cabo la instalaciσn.
• La garantia no sera valida si el producto
no se ha utilizado correctamente, si ha
sufrido danos o si la instalacion fue reali-
zada por una persona no autorizada.
• La garantia no sera valida si no se respe-
tan las condiciones de pago en las fechas
determinadas.
Cualquier reparacion, control, revision,
y reemplazo de cualquier componente
no constituira extension del periodo de
garantia .
