Montage d'une rallonge

La rallonge fait partie des accessoires en option et
n'est donc pas comprise dans la livraison.
1. Retirez le plateau coulissant avec la boîte à acces-
soires en le glissant vers la gauche.
2. Sortez les pieds rabattables de la rallonge comme
l'indiquent les flèches sur l'illustration.
3. Faites glisser la rallonge en direction du bras libre
de manière à ce qu'elle s'enclenche : Poussez A
dans B.
Couture de tissus épais
Lorsque le bouton noir situé sur le côté droit du pied
universel est enfoncé avant d'abaisser le pied de
biche, il permet de bloquer celui-ci à l'horizontal.
Cela garantit un transport régulier depuis le début
de la couture même si vous cousez plusieurs épais-
seurs de tissus (couture, ourlets de jeans, etc.).
Lorsque vous arrivez à un endroit épais, abaissez
l'aiguille et soulevez le pied de biche.
Mettez en position horizontale la pointe du pied de
biche et appuyez sur le bouton noir puis abaissez
à nouveau le pied de biche et continuez à coudre.
Le bouton noir se détache automatiquement après
quelques points.
Il est également possible de disposer un autre tissu
épais après le point. Ou appuyer sur le pied de biche
et transporter manuellement en direction du pli.

Installing the extension table

The Extension Table is an optional accessory.
1. Pull the sewing table and accessory box off by
sliding it to the left.
2. Follow the arrow, and stretch the foot of the
extension table.
3. Snap A of the extension table into B of the ma-
chine.
Sewing on heavy fabrics
The black button on the right side of the all purpose
presser foot will lock the presser foot in a horizontal
position if you push it in before lowering the presser
foot.
This ensures even feeding at the beginning of a seam
and helps when sewing multiple layers of fabric such
as sewing over seams when hemming jeans.
When you reach the point of an increased thickness,
lower the needle and raise the presser foot.
Press the toe of the foot to the horizontal line and
push in the black button, then lower the foot and
continue sewing.
The black button releases automatically after sewing
few stitches.
You also can place another piece of fabric with the
same thickness at the back of the seam. Or support
the presser foot while feeding by hand and sewing
toward the folded side.

Tafelverlenging bevestigen

De tafelverlenging behoort tot de speciale apparatuur
en is daarom niet opgenomen in de levering.
1. Trek de aanschuiftafel met de accessoirebox naar
links weg.
2. Trek de pootjes van de tafelverlenging uit in de
richting van de pijlen.
3. Schuif de tafelverlenging volledig tegen de vrije
arm, zodat deze vastklikt: A in B schuiven.
Naaien van dikke stoffen
De zwarte knop aan de rechterkant voor de univer-
sele voet blokkeert de persvoet horizontaal als de
knop voor het laten zakken van de persvoet wordt
ingedrukt.
Zo ontstaat een gelijkmatiger transport bij het begin
van een naad en bij het naaien van meerdere lagen
stof (naden, jeanszomen etc.).
Bij het bereiken van een dik punt, de naald laten
zakken en de persvoet omhoog zetten.
Punt van de persvoet horizontaal zetten en de zwarte
knop indrukken, vervolgens de persvoet weer laten
zakken en verder naaien.
De zwarte knop gaat na een paar steken weer auto-
matisch uit.
Er kan ook een ander dik stuk stof achter de naad
worden gelegd. Of de persvoet ondersteunen en met
de hand in de richting van de vouw transporteren.
