c) Low battery charge - alarm system
Power is primarily supplied to the alarm system via the plug-in power unit included in the delivery. The
internal rechargeable battery pack is also charged via the plug-in power unit included in the delivery.
Under standby conditions (e.g. electricity failure) the rechargeable battery pack can keep the alarm
system operating for up to 48 hours.
If the internal rechargeable battery pack is at low charge, it can only keep the alarm system operating
for a short period of time. In this case the „LOW BATT" LED (10) is lit on the alarm system. The
internal rechargeable battery pack should be charged as quickly as possible. The rechargeable bat-
tery pack requires 20 hours charging time.
d) Low battery charge - sensors
All sensors are operated by battery. Depending on the mounting location, the method of operation
and the batteries used, the battery life varies between 9 months and 2 years.
If the battery of a sensor has too low a battery charge, it sends a signal to the alarm system. The cor-
responding „zone status LED" (1) is then lit. The alarm system also emits the voice message again,
„zone X sensor X error".
12. What to do if You Receive an Alarm
Telephone Call
If you are on the list of telephone numbers which are dialled in the case of an alarm, please read through
the following information carefully. Only if you do so are you able to react appropriately in the case of an
alarm.
Please note the following information if you receive an alarm telephone call.
• In the case of an alarm call, the call recipient hears a voice message which is different depending on
the alarm event (panic alarm, break-in etc), e.g. „system panic" or „zone X sensor Y activated" etc. This
message is repeated several times (depending on the number of repetitions programmed. Chapter
„10.2 Programming the Telephone Numbers")
• Enter the master code or the secondary security code once you have heard the voice messages and
you are asked for the password.
• If required, you may now carry out the operating possibilities listed in section "13. Burglar alarm opera-
tion via telephone".
