8.2.4 Mounting of the Wireless Door/Window Sensors

Please note that the wireless door/window sensors have a magnet sensor (reed
contact) on the left side. This side of the wireless door/window sensors is marked
with a red line.
Thus, the mounting of the supplied magnets can only be carried out on the left hand
side of the wireless door/window sensors.
• The wireless door/window sensors consist of two com-
ponents, the magnet (the smaller component) and the
wireless door/window sensor (the larger component). Gen-
erally the wireless door/window sensor is mounted on the
door frame (or window frame) and the magnet is mounted
on the door (or window).
• You must absolutely ensure that the lower edge of the mag-
net is positioned 8mm away from the lower edge of the
wireless door/window sensor.
A higher or lower mounting reduces the magnet range, the
magnet must be mounted closer to the wireless door/
window sensor!
The horizontal distance between the magnet and the wire-
less door/window sensor may not exceed 20 mm. An ideal
distance is about 10-15 mm.
Be careful not to accidentally damage any
electric cables, gas or water pipes, there is a risk of injury or death!
To achieve more solid mounting of the wireless door/window
sensor, we recommend you use the mountingplate supplied
(A; see figure on the right).
• Position the mounting plate (A) on the chosen mounting
location and mark the two drill holes.
• Attach the mounting plate with appropriate mounting
materials (A).
• Attach the double-sided adhesive tape provided (B) to the
mounting plate (A).
• Attach the wireless door/window sensor (C).
• Now use the double-sided adhesive tape provided to attach
the magnet (ensure you observe distance instructions!)
