• If the mains supply plug exhibits any obvious damage, then the mains socket is to be
switched off before the mains supply plug is removed (e.g. by removing the corresponding
fuse).
• Electrical devices should be kept out of children's reach. Be especially careful if children
are around, as they could try to put objects through the opening of the housing into the
device! The product is not a toy!
• Mount the wireless alarm components so that they cannot be reached by children.
• Never connect the product to the mains power supply immediately after taking it from a
cold room into a warm one. The condensation produced may, under certain conditions,
lead to malfunctions or damage; apart from this, there is risk of an electric shock. Allow the
product to reach room temperature before you connect it to the mains voltage. This may
take several hours!
• The alarm control centre, the wireless door/window sensor, the remote control and the
mains supply plug should never be allowed to become wet. Do not place objects such as
vases, or plants on or near the components. Liquids could seep into the casing and in
doing so impair the electrical safety of the device. There is also a very high risk of fire. The
alarm control centre can cause fatal electrical shock in such a case!
In such a case, remove the device from the mains power supply immediately (switch off
the mains socket, remove the mains supply plug) and do not operate the device further,
take it to a qualified technician/workshop.
• Do not leave packing materials unattended. They may become dangerous playing
material for children.
• Maintenance, adjustment, or repair work must only be carried out by a specialist/
specialist workshop.
• Thunderstorms can mean a risk for any electrical appliance. Voltage overloads in the
mains supply can damage the device.
While a television or similar electrical devices can be easily unplugged (simply pull the
mains supply plug out of the socket) this is hardly possible with the alarm system.
•Operation in electrical storm can mean a certain risk of damage to the alarm system and
all attached devices.
However, there are commercially available accessories which reduce the risk to the alarm
system and other attached devices, e.g. voltage overload/surge filters and other similar
electrical storm protection devices. Such devices do not provide absolute protection
against voltage overload/surges or lightning strikes.
