11.3 Arming the Alarm System

Arm the system if you are the last person to leave the secured building. If you activate the alarm system,
in the case of an alarm situation (e.g. a break-in) the programmed telephone numbers will be called and
the internal siren raises the alarm.
Proceed as follows to arm the alarm:
• Press the "ARM" key (3) at the burglar alarm or key (21) at your radio remote control.
A beep tone can be heard (Exit delay active) and the „PROG" (9) LED begins to flash.
• You have 45 seconds to exit the building and thus clear all protected zones. The delay between beep
tones becomes shorter correspondingly to the decreasing amount of time left until the alarm is armed.
• After the 45 seconds are complete a voice message states: „System activated". The beep tone is
deactivated, the "ARM" LED (8) is lit.
• The alarm system is armed.
Please note that arming is only possible if no sensor is currently activated (close all
doors and windows, no movement may occur in the movement sensors' detection
area(s) etc).
Arming can also be carried out when sensors with low battery charge are in
operation.

11.4 Deactivation of the burglar alarm

The alarm system can be deactivated at any time (during the activated entry delay or
in case of alarm) by entering the master code and the secondary security code.
When entering the duress code the burglar alarm will perform a "silent" alarm. This
will suppress and end any acoustic alarm signal. However, the burglar alarm will call
a programmed telephone number (please also regard section "11.4.1 Silent alarm via
duress code").
11.4.1 Deactivation of the burglar alarm (if activated by at sensor
activation)
As soon as a sensor is put into an activated state, you have 30 seconds (= duration of entry delay) to
deactivate the burglar alarm. If the burglar alarm is not deactivated within these 30 seconds, the internal
siren will sound and the programmed telephone number will be called.
• As soon as a sensor is activated, a beep will be audible. This indicates the activation of the entry delay.
The intervals between the beeps will decrease; the less time left is until alarm set off, the shorter are
the intervals. From the first beep on, you have 30 seconds to deactivate the alarm system, before
alarm will be set off
