158. Place hook and loop tape on the battery tray and battery
to prevent it from sliding on the tray during fl ight. Hook
and loop straps can be installed to secure the battery to
the tray.
 Use 5-minute epoxy to glue the hook and loop
tape to the battery tray to prevent it from peeling off.
159. Install the battery tray in the fuselage. Secure it at the
front using an M3 x 12 socket head cap screws and M3
washer. Use threadlock on the screw to prevent it from
vibrating loose.
160. Use the hook and loop strap to secure the batteries in the
fuselage. Make sure not to cover any warning labels on
the battery.
Reposition the batteries as necessary
to achieve the correct Center of Gravity
depending on your motor selection.
161. Place the hatch back into position on the fuselage. Use
an M3 x 12 socket head cap screw, M3 lock washer and
M3 washer. Use a drop of canopy glue on the threads to
keep the screw from vibrating loose.
162. Fit the spinner backplate and propeller on the motor
adapter. Slide the adapter on the motor shaft. Use a
1/8-inch (3mm) diameter rod to tighten the spinner nut,
securing the adapter to the motor.

163. Attach the spinner cone using the screws included with
the spinner. Make sure the propeller does not contact
the spinner cone. Reposition the backplate or trim the
spinner cone as necessary to provide clearance between
the propeller and spinner cone.
 RECEIVER AND RECEIVER BATTERY
INSTALLATION
164. Secure the receiver in the fuselage using hook and loop
tape and a tie wrap. Follow the instructions included with
the receiver for additional mounting information. Connect
the leads for the rudder, elevator and throttle (or ESC) to
the receiver. Connect 3-inch (75mm) extensions to the
receiver for the fl aps and ailerons.
165. Secure the remote receiver in the fuselage using hook
and loop tape.
166. Mount the receiver switch in the side of the fuselage.
Connect the switch to the receiver.
167. Secure the batteries in the fuselage using hook and loop
straps. Use a single battery (receiver) for the EP version,
or two batteries (ignition and receiver) for the gas
installation. Connect the batteries to the switches.
 It may be possible to slide one of the batteries
under the servo tray when using smaller batteries.
 Make sure to remove the red wire from
the connection from the ESC and receiver when
using a separate battery or BEC device.
