 RADIO INSTALLATION (OPTION 1)
 Two options are available for mounting the rudder
and elevator servos. Option 1 mounts the servos under
the wing for lighter power systems. Option 2 mounts
the servos at the rear of the fuselage for heavier power
systems. A combination of both can be utilized depending
on what is required to properly balance your model.
99. Prepare the elevator servo by installing the rubber
grommets and brass eyelets. Install the elevator servo
in the fuselage with the output of the servos facing the
front of the fuselage.
100. Attach the control horn to the top of the elevator using
the technique outlined for the aileron servos. Use three
M2 x 15 screws and nuts along with the control horn
backplate.
 Make sure to apply a drop of canopy glue in the
threads of each nut to prevent them from vibrating loose.
101. Thread an M2 nut on the 28-inch (711mm) pushrod.
Slide a clevis retainer (silicone tube) on the clevis, then
thread the clevis on the pushrod.
102. Slide the pushrod into the pushrod tube in the fuselage.
You will need to guide the pushrod out of the fuselage
at the rear. Place the servo arm on the servo so it is
perpendicular to the pushrod.
 The servo arm length listed is suited for sport
flying. Longer servo arms, such as teh DUB671, can
be used for more extreme throws and 3D flight.

103. Connect the clevis to the hole in the servo that is 5/8-
inch (16mm) from the center of the arm. (Drawing is not
to scale). Make sure to remove any unused arms so they
don't interfere with the operation of the servo.
 Clevis is shown attached in the above photo.
 Larger servo arms can be used for more
control throw. Make sure the servo arms clear
the fuselage when operating the servos.
104. Thread an M2 nut on the pushrod. Slide a clevis retainer
(silicone tube) on the clevis, then thread the clevis on
the pushrod. Attach the clevis to the center hole of the
elevator control horn. Adjust the clevises so the elevator
is centered. Once adjusted, place a drop of threadlock on
the threads near the clevis, then tighten the nut against
the clevis to prevent the clevises from vibrating loose.
105. Attach the control horn to the rudder, opposite the
elevator horn, using the technique outlined for the aileron
servos. Use three M2 x 15 screws and nuts, along with
the control horn backplate.
 Make sure to apply a drop of canopy glue in the
threads each nut to prevent them from vibrating loose.
106. Prepare and install the rudder servo. Use the techniques
outlined in the previous steps to prepare and install the

107. Follow the previous steps for connecting the clevis to
the elevator control horn. The clevis for the rudder will
attach to the center hole of the horn. Adjust the clevises
so the rudder is centered. Once adjusted, place drop of
threadlock on the threads near the clevis, then tighten
the nut against the clevis to prevent the clevis from
vibrating loose.
