7.3. Installation of the guard trac™
WP guardrail

7.3.1. Barrier (fig. 12)

guard trac™ WP uses long brackets, that are
ballasted with one counterweight on brackets
at central position and two counterweights on
brackets at free standing ends.
1. Set up the fully equipped long bracket:
Each bracket is equipped with an anti-slip

pad (fig. 5-1) at the end to avoid any risk of
deterioration of the roof sealant. However,
it is recommended that the installer place
it gently on the ground and not step on it,
as this could lead to the deterioration of the
roof sealant. Space the brackets to a dis-
tance equal to L1 (fig. 12a) apart and place
them in a way that all along the anti-slip pad
is in contact with the parapet.

2. Insert the barrier into the holes in the long
bracket (fig. 12b).
3. Take a counterweight with two hands at the
clearances and position it on the bracket
space further from the guardrail (fig. 12c),
taking care to place the bracket arm in the
counterweight lower groove.
DANGER: the counterweights must be
placed mandatorily in the spaces further
from the guardrail for brackets at central
position.
IMPORTANT: Before placing the concrete
counterweight on the bracket, the installer
must ensure that the installation surface
Sm of the counterweight block (fig. 7) does not
have any sharp edges, deterioration or foreign
body to deteriorate the roof sealant of the roof.
NOTE: To place the counterweight (fig.
16), bring it against the hook of the
bracket (step 1), swivel the weight (step 2), and
settle it (step 3).

secured by the front and rear hooks of the long
bracket.
4. Repeat the same process for the rest of
counterweights.
Now the first guard trac™ WP guardrail is in-
stalled. Do the same for the adjacent barriers.

7.3.2. End barrier

The long bracket at the free standing end is bal-
lasted by two in-line counterweights (fig. 10).

7.4. Installation of the guard trac™
WPS guardrail
Proceed according to steps 1 and 2 of section
7.3.
7.4.1. Barrier
Installation is identical to that of the barrier in
section 7.3.1 with the difference that the guard
trac™ WPS uses short brackets.
Short brackets are ballasted with two stacked
counterweights, at central position as well as at
the end one. A counterweight interface shall be
placed between every upper and lower counter-
weight (fig. 15).
IMPORTANT: After placing the counter-
weight check that it is laying against the
whole installation area Sm (Fig. 7) and is
