For correct functioning of the guard trac™ WP or guard trac™ WPS guardrail, and in order to com-
plete the fall prevention safety setup, you must meet the following requirements relating to guardrail
installation surfaces and structures.

6.1. Roof load distribution table

The roof on which the guard trac™ WP or guard trac™ WPS guardrail is installed must be resistant
to support the additional weight of the guardrail as indicated in the load distribution table below:
Description
guard trac™ WP – in-line barrier
guard trac™ WP – free standing end barrier
guard trac™ WPS – in-line and free standing end barriers
Placing the guard trac™ WP or guard trac™ WPS system on a roof structure that has the correct
mechanical characteristics is essential. The load distribution table above provides relevant details. If
there is reason to doubt the underlying roof structure that the guard trac™ WP or guard trac™ WPS
guardrails are being placed on, the advice of a suitably qualified engineer is to be sought.

6.2. Installation surface

Before installing the guard trac™ WP or guard
trac™ WPS guardrail, the installer must ensure
that the installation surface of the flat roof meets
the following requirements:
