Use of a Locking Clip
2. Pull on the shoulder portion of the seat belt close to the buckle to tighten the lap portion
of the belt.
3. Pinch and hold the shoulder portion and lap portion of the seat belt webbing together
just above the buckle. Unbuckle the seat belt while holding the seat belt webbing tight.
4. Hook the locking clip around both the lap and shoulder pieces of the seat belt webbing
as shown. Leave less than 2.5 cm (1 inch) of space between the locking clip and the seat
belt latch plate. Re-buckle the belt.
5. Check for tightness. The child restraint should move less than 2.5cm (1 inch) in any
direction at the belt path.
