Installing The Child Restraint In A Vehicle
Press the child restraint with force against the vehicle seat (a). At the same time, pull the
lap portion of the belt toward the buckle (b) and the shoulder portion of the belt in the
opposite direction (c). By doing this, pressure force will build up into the child restraint,
pressing it against the vehicle seat.
To complete the installation, let the shoulder portion of the belt pass through the belt
guides, strapping it in place (d).
Belt guides are used to enhance the stability during normal use. They are not designed to
replace a locking clip.
Attach the top tether to the suitable anchor (e - click) in the vehicle following the procedure
at page 21.
Vehicle tether anchors can be found in many different locations. Some of the typical
locations are shown here. Refer to your vehicle owner's manual for exact locations, anchor
identification, and requirements.
Pull the free end of the strap until it is fully tensioned (f ). A loose tether strap will reduce the
safety of the seat in a crash.
