  • Page 16 TURNING THE SEAT FROM FORWARD TO REAR FACING ORIENTATION Primo Viaggio All in One is delivered with the seat oriented forward facing. In order to change the orientation to rear facing, squeeze the handle (a) located in the back of the seat and pull out the rebound bar (b).
  • Page 17 Product Function INTEGRATED ARB SPACER When the seat is adjusted in rear facing mode, the anti-rebound bar can be adjusted in two positions. Squeeze the handle (a) and pull the rebound bar out (b). Release the handle and make sure that it is locked in position (click).
  • Page 18 Product Function LATCH STRAP Latch strap is a part of the connecting system and it is stored in a compartment located under the seat and covered by a lid. To access the latch strap, remove the cushions, move the headrest up, undo the cover button and move the upholstery forward (a) as shown in the picture.

For rear facing installation, thread the connector strap into the blue belt guides (c) and into the openings in the shell, as shown in the picture.

  • Page 21 Product Function TOP TETHER The top tether is part of the connecting system and is stored in the back of the shell. To access the top tether open the compartment (a), take the strap out (b) and close the lid (c), as shown in the pictures.

  • Page 24 Product Function HEADREST ADJUSTMENT Headrest can be adjusted in 12 positions, position 1 being the lowest and position 12 being the highest. To increase the headrest height, pull the handle and pull (a) the headrest at the desired position. To decrease the height of the headrest, pull the handle (b) and push (c) the headrest down at the desired position.
  • Page 25 Product Function HARNESS SYSTEM This child restraint is equipped with an integrated 5-point harness, composed of a crotch strap with buckle and shoulder /hip straps with connecting buckle tongues. To open the buckle push on the red button (a) and pull the buckle tongues apart (b) as shown in picture.
  • Page 26 Product Function To loosen the harness, push the lever located in front of the crotch strap (a) and pull the shoulder straps (b) as shown in the picture. For better accomodating the child, prepare the seat: rotate the crotch strap forward (c) and attach the tongues to the side retainers (d) as shown in the picture.
  • Page 27 Product Function TRI-STAGE CUSHION Primo Viaggio All In One is supplied with an adaptive cushion for smaller infants. The cushion is composed of three parts designed to provide better harness fit and proper head position between the side wings of the head pad.
  • Page 28 Product Function KINETIC PODS Kinetic pods are moving parts designed to reduce crash forces in a side collision. To open the kinetic pod turn the knob (a) until it stops moving out (b). To close the pod, rotate in the opposite direction.
  • Page 29 Product Function BOOSTER MODE CONVERSION Make sure that the seat is oriented forward facing. To convert the child restraint into a booster seat the following steps must be followed: - remove crotch and shoulder pads and all the cushions. - undo the snap buttons and open the seat upholstery as shown in the picture (a), making sure that the crotch strap buckle passes through the slot in the fabric.
  • Page 30 Product Function Open the bottom compartment under the seat (b). If necessary, attach the latch connectors to their housing (c - click) making sure that the extra strap webbing is carefully wrapped as shown in the picture. Alternatively, latch connectors should be used to secure the child restraint to the vehicle seat, adding stability during normal driving.
  • Page 31 Product Function Close the compartment lid (f - click) and store the buckle and the chest clip, as shown in the picture. Attach the upholstery back in place. The seat is ready for use in booster mode. IMPORTANT! Upholstered components are parts of the safety features of this seat, so it is important to store them properly for future use.

  • Page 34 Vehicle compatibility VEHICLE ATTACHMENT DESIGNS AND COMPATIBILITY According to crash statistics, children are safer when properly restrained in the back seat than in the front seat. Therefore, Peg Perego strongly recommends that children using this child restraint ride in the back seat. This child restraint can ONLY be used on a vehicle seat that faces the front of the vehicle.
  • Page 35 UAS - What Is It And Where Is It In The Vehicle UAS stands for "Universal Attachment System" in other words, is a standard attachment system. It works by connecting parts of your child restraint to vehicle anchorage system. Vehicle UAS hardware: Lower anchors: these are a pair of metal bars hidden in the vehicle's seat crease.
  • Page 36 UAS - What Is It And Where Is It In The Vehicle Tether anchors: these are metal rings or bars that are behind the vehicle seat. Common locations for top tether attachments are: the rear shelf in sedan type vehicle (a), the back of the seat backrest in minivans (b), the rear compartment in SUVs and other vehicles (c).
  • Page 37 UAS - What Is It And Where Is It In The Vehicle Child Seat UAS hardware: Lower Connectors: these are hooks on your child’s seat that will hook onto the lower anchors in the vehicle’s seat crease. Primo Viaggio All In One is equipped with flexible connectors.
  • Page 38 Seat Belts This vehicle child seat is designed to be installed with vehicle belts. There are many different vehicle belt designs. Unfortunately, some may be unsuitable for a safe installation of this child restraint. Please read carefully the pages below.   • Page 39 Type of retractors EMERGENCY LOCKING RETRACTOR (ELR) A retractor is a spring loaded device that rolls the seatbelt automatically when not in use.   • Page 40 Latch plate A latch plate can be a sliding latch plate (a) or a locking latch plate (b). A sliding latch plate is available on lap/shoulder belt only and moves freely along the strap. A Locking latch plate has a mechanism to lock the movement of the plate on the strap.
  • Page 41 Type of seat belt LAP/SHOULDER BELT (3-point) with Switchable Locking Retractor (ELR —> ALR) and free sliding latch plate. This type of seat belt has a latch plate that moves freely along the belt. To engage the locked (ALR) mode. Refer to page 39.

The seat belt must be locked for a safe install. Most lap/shoulder seat belts can be locked by switching the seat belt into the locked (ALR) mode following the instructions on page 39.

If a change in position is necessary, change the angle to the desired position (a) following instruction at page 22, making sure that the seat clicks in one of the available position (1to 6).

  • Page 50 Installing The Child Restraint In A Vehicle FORWARD FACING INSTALLATION USING UAS Open the rear compartment and pull the top tether out. Unsnap the upholstery in the seating area. Take the latch strap out of the compartment under the seat and thread the latch strap into the red belt guides following instruction at page 18, 19, 20.
  • Page 51 Installing The Child Restraint In A Vehicle Attach the top tether to the suitable anchor (a - click) in the vehicle following procedure at page 21. Pull the free end of the strap (b) until it is fully tensioned. A loose tether strap will reduce the safety of the seat in a crash.
  • Page 52 Installing The Child Restraint In A Vehicle FORWARD FACING INSTALLATION USING VEHICLE BELTS When child's weight exceeds UAS weight limits (page 6), installation with vehicle belts is required. The seat belt must be locked for a safe install. Most lap/shoulder seat belts can be locked by switching the seat belt into the locked (ALR) mode following the instructions on page 39.

If a change in position is necessary, remove the tension in the latch strap by pressing on the adjuster button, unlatch the connector from one side, change the angle to the desired position and re-attach the connector, making sure to pull it again with maximum tension.
  • Page 55 Installing your child restraint in an aircraft This child restraint is certified for use in an aircraft. Most airlines should allow the use of a restraint which is labeled for use according to FAA regulations. However, due to the size and weight of Primo Viaggio All in One, it is recommended that airline is contacted for further information prior to booking or flight.
  • Page 56 Securing your child into the child restraint HARNESS USE AND ADJUSTMENT This child restraint uses a integrated 5-point harness system to secure your child. Before placing your child in the seat, open the harness following instruction at page 25. Check if your child needs any of the filler cushions (page 27).
  • Page 57 Securing your child into the child restraint Check that the harness is at the correct shoulder position. When the child restraint is used in rear facing mode, the correct shoulder position is when the shoulder straps are located at or just below shoulder level, as shown in the picture (green area).
  • Page 58 Securing your child into the child restraint When the harness is tightened, check that the chest clip is at armpit level. If necessary re- move the shoulder pads. IMPORTANT! SNUG STRAP: A snug strap should not allow any slack. It lies in a relatively straight line without sagging.
  • Page 59 When the child structure and stature allow, and at a minimum weight of 18 kg (40 lbs), Primo Viaggio All in One can be used as a booster seat. Refer to page 29, 30, 31 to convert your child restraint in a booster seat.
  • Page 60 Use of a Locking Clip Important! For different types of seat belts, please refer to page 41 and on. This child restraint should not be installed on seat types shown on page 34. When installing this child restraint, the seat belt must be locked at a fixed length for a safe install.
  • Page 61 Use of a Locking Clip 2. Pull on the shoulder portion of the seat belt close to the buckle to tighten the lap portion of the belt. 3. Pinch and hold the shoulder portion and lap portion of the seat belt webbing together just above the buckle.
  • Page 62 Securing the child in the booster seat Warning! Use only the vehicle’s lap and shoulder belt system when restraining the child in the booster seat. Make sure that your child is sitting comfortably, with the back fully against the backrest of the booster seat.
  • Page 63 Securing the child in the booster seat Buckle the belt (c - click). Pull on lap belt first (d) toward the buckle and then on the shoulder belt (e) making sure that they are not tangled anywhere. Picture shows the correct belt pattern around the child's neck and shoulder.
  • Page 64 Cleaning and maintenance Your child restraint requires a minimum of cleaning and maintenance. Do not clean with harsh products or solvents. Keep moving parts clean. In case, clean plastic parts with a damp cloth. Do not use water with harness and latching mechanisms. Protect your child restraint from extreme cold, water, rain and sun exposure.

The central part of the cover (highlighted in the picture), likely to become dirty more frequently than the rest of the product can be detatched in a second and washed separately.

Undo the snap buttons located below the headrest (b) and pull the head panel from the side wings (c) and all the way up (d). IMPORTANT! SOFT PARTS: when removing the headrest panel take care of the soft white EPP insert.
  • Page 67 Cleaning and maintenance To remove the seat panel, undo the crotch pad velcro strap (a) and open the zip (b) located below the panel. Open the snap buttons (c) located on the side of the panel and pull it (d) all the way up. For cleaning instruction refer to page 64.
  • Page 68 Cleaning and maintenance If the entire seat cover must be removed for cleaning, undo the lower part of upholstery from the bottom edge (a). Pull the elastic band through the groove (b) on the side of the shell untill it is free. Keep pulling the soft cover upward (c).
