Startingupthegrillbeforebarbecuing
Stand the RÖSLE grill on a firm and level surface. Before starting barbecuing, make sure that the fat
catcher tray is properly inserted.
Every time you intend using the grill, first check the gas supply hose for kinks, cracks, signs of wear or
cuts. If damage to the hose is visible, the grill must not be used.
The hose must only be replaced with an approved replacement hose.
Before using the grill for the first time, heat it through with the burners lit and the lid closed for at
least 30 minutes. Before you use the appliance for the first time, we recommend that you "season" it to
remove any residues from the production process.
Before seasoning the appliance, please remove the stickers on the lid window and the side burner. If
you do not do so, the stickers may melt when the appliance heats up and will then be very difficult to
remove.
• Take out the grates and wash them with a mild detergent.
• Refit the grates.
• Switch the grill on and allow it to heat up at a temperature of 230°C with the hood down for approx. 20
minutes. After the seasoning phase, switch the appliance off.
Gas-tightnesstest
During the test there must be no possible sources of ignition nearby. Do not
smoke. Never use a burning match or naked flame to test for leaks and always
carry out the gas-tightness test outdoors. Perform the test every time the hose is
connected to the gas grill, the gas cylinder is connected or replaced, and at least once a
year.
1. Turn the gas valve control to the position "•".
2. Turn on the gas supply at the cylinder.
3. Using a brush, apply a soap solution (approx. 50% liquid soap/50% water) to all gas-carrying compo-
nents (gas cylinder connection, gas pressure regulator, gas hose, valve connection).
Alternatively, use a leak-detector spray.
4. If you see fine bubbles forming in the soap solution at any point, this indicates a leak.
IMPORTANT: The grill must not be used until all leaks have been eliminated. Turn off the gas supply at the
gas cylinder.
5. Eliminate the leaks by tightening the connections, if possible, or replacing any defective parts.
6. Repeat steps 1 and 2.
7. If the leaks cannot be eliminated, consult your specialist grill appliance retailer.
