5.4.1 Shut-off valve in the inlet line
In order to be able to close the inlet in case of maintenance or
repair, a shut-off valve should be installed between the inlet line
and the lifting unit. It is recommended to use an easy-to-handle
PVC shut-off valve.
If it can be ensured on the part on the part of the building site that
no waste water flows into the lifting unit during maintenance or
repair, a shut-off valve on the inlet side can be dispensed with.
5.5 Pressure line

The pressure line has to be guided with a bend over the locally specified flood level. It
must not be connected to the waste water down pipe. Allowed is only a connection to a
vented underground pipe or manifold.

• Other drainage objects must not be connected to the pressure line.
• Pressure lines have to be designed frost-proof and must withstand at least 1.5 times
the maximum pump pressure.
