16. Surface water that occurs outside the building below the flood level, has to be con-
veyed separately from the domestic waste water and outside the building via a sew-
age lifting unit.
17. A manual membrane pump serves for easy drainage in case of trouble or power fail-
ure (not mandatory, but recommendable).
5.3 Setting up the plant
Prior to setting up, check the plant for transport damages on the tank, the pump and the
switchgear and verify the scope of delivery. Ä Chapter 4.1. "Scope of delivery"
At the installation site, the lifting unit is aligned according to possibly existing pipelines.
Horizontal installation has to be checked using a spirit level. When the final installation
site has been specified, the lifting unit is fastened on the ground by means of the supplied
fixing screws.

The lifting unit has to be installed safe against turning and against buoyancy.
