• Never point the transmitter aerial directly at the model. This decreases the range.
• Check the condition of the receiver aerial. Is it torn off (e.g. from the vehicle turning over) or shortened or coiled?
This greatly reduces the range!
The vehicle doesn't drive in a straight line correctly
• Adjust the steering trimmer at the transmitter.
• Check the steering rods, the servo arm and its screw connections or the wheel alignment setting.
• Did your car have an accident? If so, check the vehicle for any defective or broken parts and replace them.
Steering works opposite to the way the wheel is turned at the transmitter
• Activate the steering reverse setting at the transmitter.
Driving works opposite to the movement of the throttle/brake lever at the transmitter
• Usually, the vehicle has to drive forwards when the throttle/brake lever at the transmitter is pulled towards the hand-
le. If this is not the case, activate the reverse setting for driving at the transmitter.
The steering is not functioning or is functioning incorrectly, steering deflection at the vehicle insufficient
• If the vehicle is standing on the ground, the vehicle's weight will cause the steering servo to work correctly only once
the model is driven normally. Place the vehicle on an appropriate underground to test the steering (e.g. an assembly
stand) so that all wheels can move freely.
• If the transmitter offers dual rate settings, check these settings (observe transmitter's operating instructions). If the
dual rate setting is too low, the steering deflection is very low or the steering servo will no longer react.
The same applies for the so-called EPA setting (= „End-Point-Adjustment", setting of the end positions for the servo
path to protect the servo mechanics) if present at the transmitter.
• Check the steering mechanics for loose parts; e.g. check if the servo arm is properly attached to the steering servo.
In spite of the servo saver, it is possible that the servo arm breaks or jumps due to hard impact. The same applies
for the gear in the steering servo.
• The steering mechanics are stiff because of dirt or rust. Check and clean the complete steering mechanics.
• Use no batteries for the power supply of the receiver, but only a high-current-capable battery pack (e.g. a suitable
5-cell NiMH receiver battery).
Weak braking function
• Adjust the throttle/brake function neutral position at the transmitter. If the trim path is not sufficient, check the position
of the servo arm on the throttle/brake servo and its screw connections.
• Check the linkage between the throttle/brake servo and carburettor/brake.
• Check the condition of the brake pads or replace them.
