HOPPER, FILTER AND SUCTION HOSE CLEANING, AND GASKET CHECK

WARNING!
Protect body parts (eyes, hair, hands, etc.) properly, when performing cleaning procedures using compressed
air or water gun.

Preliminary operations

1.
Empty the hopper (12, Fig. G), drive the machine to a cleaning/washing appointed area, then engage the parking brake (7, Fig.
E).
2.
Lift and dump the hopper (12, Fig. G), according to the procedure shown in the relevant paragraphs.
3.
Install the door support rod (8, Fig. F).
Hopper cleaning (after every use)
1.
Clean the hopper (6, Fig. V) with pressurised water (7).
2.
Carefully check the suction sealing gasket (8, Fig. V) for integrity, and replace it if necessary.
Suction pipe cleaning (after every use)
1.
Thoroughly clean the suction pipe (27, Fig. F) inside, up to the suction inlet, with pressurised water.
2.
Carefully check the suction pipe gasket (31, Fig. F) for integrity, and replace it if necessary.
Suction fi lter cleaning (after every use)
1.
Inside the hopper, remove the suction fi lter mounting handwheel (1, Fig. V).
2.
Remove the suction fi lter (2, Fig. V).
3.
Clean the defl ector (3, Fig. V) and the fan (4) with pressurised water. Check that all fan sectors (5) are clean.
4.
Clean the suction fi lter (2, Fig. W) with pressurised water (1).
5.
Install the suction fi lter (2, Fig. V) and secure it with the retainer (1).
6.
Remove the door support rod (8, Fig. F) and lower the hopper (12, Fig. G) according to the instructions shown in the relevant
paragraph.
7.
Turn off the engine, by turning the ignition key (17, Fig. D) counterclockwise, to the end of stroke, then remove it.
Breather fi lter cleaning (after every use)
1.
With a ladder and the help of an assistant, disengage the fasteners (29, Fig. G) of the breather fi lter hood (28).
2.
Open the hood (1, Fig. X) and install the safety pins (2).
3.
Remove the mounting screws (1, Fig. Y), then remove the breather fi lter (2).
4.
Clean the breather fi lter (2, Fig. Z) with pressurised water (1).
5.
Install the breather fi lter and its hood performing steps from 15 to 17 in reverse order.
