USING THE REAR SUCTION PIPE (*)

(*)
Optional
To collect dust/debris with the rear suction pipe (22, Fig. G), rather than the suction inlet (10), perform the following procedure.
1.
As shown in the Hopper Dumping paragraph, lift the hopper for 10-15 cm approximately, then turn off the engine.
2.
Open the right door (16, Fig. G).
3.
With a suitable ladder, carefully remove the screw (1, Fig. N) and turn the gasket (2) on the hopper suction hole (3).
4.
Lower the hopper completely, as shown in the Hopper Dumping paragraph.
5.
Turn off the engine and engage the parking brake with the lever (7, Fig. E).
CAUTION!
This condition is signalled by the rear brake lights fl ashing for 30 seconds.
In this condition, the engine can be started even if the operator is not on the driver's seat.
NOTE
When key is turned to on, if the operator leaves the driver's seat, an intermittent warning buzzer signals that the parking
brake is disengaged.
6.
Release the fasteners (37, Fig. G) and open the upper rear hood (36).
7.
Remove the suction hose (22, Fig. G) from its housing.
8.
Open the suction pipe closing panel by unscrewing and lifting the knob (1, Fig. O) until the end of stroke, as shown in the
fi gure, then screw the knob (1) to secure it in that position.
9.
Start the engine as shown in the relevant paragraph.
10.
Check that the hopper (12, Fig. G) is lowered and that the warning light (26, Fig. D) is off.
11.
Gradually bring forward the engine throttle lever (16, Fig. E) and set the engine speed on the display (11, Fig. D) to the
following value:
Minimum 1,800 rpm
Maximum 2,500 rpm
12.
Turn on the suction fan with the lever (14, Fig. E).
13.
Disengage the parking brake with the lever (7, Fig. E).
CAUTION!
When the parking brake is disengaged, the symbol "N" (20, Fig. H) appears. This symbol indicates that there is
some fault in the machine transport confi guration. This condition is signalled by the rear brake lights fl ashing
for 30 seconds.
14.
Grab the suction hose (22, Fig. G) on the rear side of the machine.
15.
Pull the pin (1, Fig. P) and turn the handle (2) to the position shown in the fi gure. Hold the lever in this position by releasing the
pin (1) and ensure that the pin is inserted in the relevant housing.
16.
To use the dust control system water jet, open the valve (3, Fig. P) by turning it in the position shown in the fi gure.
17.
With the help of an assistant, start to collect debris with the rear suction pipe (4, Fig. P), by grasping it as shown in the fi gure.
While working, the machine picks up both light materials such as dust, paper, leaves, etc. and heavy materials such as
stones, bottles, etc.
18.
If necessary, release the suction hose (4, Fig. Q), unscrew the handwheel (2) and fetch the cleaning tool (1).
Assemble the tool (1, Fig. Q) by tightening the screw (3), then insert the tool in the suction hose (4) to clean it.
NOTE
The cleaning tool (1) is optional.
19.
To restore the machine operation with the suction inlet (10, Fig. G), perform the steps from 1 to 15 in the reverse order.
